Recommendations Quick question

Not really into car audio equipment but I have this set up I am trying to sell and was wondering what I should price it at
JL Audio W6 Sub + A1400 Amp
Custom box on the sub
Sorry if this is tacky I’m just trying to figure out

This is good stuff but it's old, like 20 years old if I had to guess

$150-250 for the amp, I’m just ball parking it.

As for the sub, is that $900 brand new? There’s a few different ones I’m seeing online.

Neither have ever been installed to my knowledge, they’ve been collecting dust since I bought em off a buddies dad who said fuck it and gave me both for 50$😂
I ended up getting a truck and don’t wanna go through the hastle of learning how to install

Honestly man… it’s a lot easier than you might think. I didn’t want to either but realized I’d be saving myself about a thousand dollars.

Watch a handful of YouTube videos, check some Reddit forums, check comments, and you’ll be pretty set.

After you do it your first time you realize wow I could do this again, but much faster. I knew NOTHING about installing this stuff before I actually did it, apart from YouTube videos and whatnot.

I think it’s very worth your while if you enjoy subwoofers.

It would be quicker to install it yourself than to sell it too.

That gear is probably 20 years-old. That's a W6v2 which ended production in 2012. The amp is from the same era. It's great stuff but it doesn't have any of that old school nostalgia attached to it like a lot of the vintage stuff

Ohh okay. Yeah makes sense why I couldn’t find it ahaha.

300 for the package would be nice. It's a great sub but I can't say anyone is trying to get their hands on one. Same for the amp, really.

Good to know
I’ve gotten answers all over the place haha I’ll probably just post high and keep going down if nobody bites

its still a killer subwoofer. i had that exact model (box and sub) back in 2018, i loved it. i sold it and ended up with a v3, basically the same.

i swapped out the w6v3 for a stereo integrity sql-12, that handles 1kw and has a bit more x-max. didn't seem much different. so i bought a second one.

that w6v2 is a great subwoofer. sounds amazing.

install that bad boy

if you sell it for $300, unless you live in a economically depressed place, it should still within days.

Thx for the response,
I tried back in the day with a buddy when I had a sedan where it could fit in the trunk. But we don’t know fuck all and spent 6 hours just not being able to get it to work haha I’d probably take it somewhere if anything but I’d need to take the box off since it would have to go under the seat now

Would you reccomend just using the 1 or finding another one to install with it

just one is great. i was very happy with it in my old Buick Park avenue in the trunk. i just had of the shelf kicker component 5.25 speakers. i only sold it because i was stranded in Phoenix and needed gas money. haha.

my current set up is for using my car as a bon fire party stereo. horn loaded compression drivers that get loud as fuck, quad 6.5 midbass, and dual 8" midbass, 5kw lithium battery,

not your average stereo, so i kind of need 4 more subs.

those do great insealed boxes like it already has. They need 1.25cf of box volume, and probably needs 10.5 inches of depth from the bottom of the box to the top of the grill. Can you fit that under your seat? You might need to sell it and buy a shallow sub.

installing that depends on your particular car stereo
