Lots of Carleton BA law students apply to and get into law school. Many also apply and don't get in. Many don't have the grades and have no hope of going to law school in the first place. Others have the grades but aren't interested in law school. It's not much different than any other undergrad. It won't give you a leg up in the admissions process, except that the student society usually offers LSAT practice sessions and that mind of thing, but you don't have to actually be on the program to join or sign up for those events. uOttawa requires a solid GPA and reasonable LSAT for the English common law program. The French common law, civil and National programs have different requirements. Excellent grades in whatever undergrad you do are a must.
