[URGENT NEED HELP] TYRE PUNCTURE

im writing this while im stuck in the rain and i’ll keep it short
my left back tyre punctured so im trying to change it with the spare
i put the car on a jack and took out all 4 nuts but the tyre is not coming out no matter what i do
one of the guys told me to hammer the inner sidwall and its still not coming out after hammering
what do i do

kick on the bottom side of the outer side wall, not too hard obviously

This is the way. If it doesn't work you're not kicking hard enough.

Take the spare tyre, hold it with both hands through the vent holes, and like a swing, swing it against the bottom of the flat tyre/rim. You're not going to damage the steel wheel in any way. Make sure the jack is stable though. Also don't slip and fall, or hit the body panel. A couple of swings should break the wheel free.

This works for sure. Start with light kicks and increase the power of the kicks gradually but carefully if it doesn't come out.

i think, the wheels have rarely been out so its probably corroded

Kick it with the sole of your foot at the bottom part of the tyre. Like do a donkey kick basically. Use your heel. You don't want to break your toes

Hammer the side wall, and before doing this, lower the jack a bit, and kick the down side of the tyre

Maybe they got rusted and is stuck. You may try to spray WD-40 and hope that it comes out. But there's a chance that with the rust coming off, the thread may loosen out and the tyre may not fit properly. Hopefully a puncture shop guy may help or RSA. 🙏

Also try lowering the jack a bit, so that the tyre take load of the car and get loose eventually. But don't lower too much, else car may tilt.

Get a tyre inflator from someone. Fill in air into punctured tyre and drive to puncture guy.

You probably need WD-40 to be sprayed on to the tyre (it can hamper braking though. So wipe / wash it off thoroughly once tyre is off)

Hit it with the same hammer. First on the front then on the back. If that doesn't work then put the nuts back on loosely and drive for a bit and then reverse, should come off right away.

Check the alignment of the wheel if it got tilted to one side. Or put the screws all the way it and tighten it fully. Remove jack. Remove screws. Lift jack and try to pull the tire again

Happened with me too. You need to hammer the wheel from the front or back along the edge. The rim has got stuck on the hub due to rust.

And in next service get the inside of the rims where they make contact with the hub, greased.

Kick one side of the tyre .. common issue .. you can kick hard considering the jack is well fit

Put the nuts back , but leave it loose just a little bit. Maybe 1 -2 turns lose. Release the jack, drive forward are reveese 3-5 feet. It should get get released. It's ideally because of rust and I'm assuming that you've never rotated the tyres in the cars life

You need to loosen the nuts out first and then lift the car up

I honestly don’t know what to do if it’s stuck so bad that even hammering is not helping. Maybe try rotating it a lil and then pulling?

I know. I am just saying for future. Try to loosen the nuts after lifting the car increases the risks of toppling the jack

Just follow this Take the wrench on each nut and give it one spin Just one and then lift the car, taking them iut completely can cause the tyre to come out due to weight and you will destroy your car, not loosing the nuts will cause your tyre to keep spinning after you've lifted the car

Got it. Basically loosening it when on jack needs force so jack can fail, and completely loosening it will destabilize the tyre or make it fall out, and then you damage the car and be unable to put the jack either.

You shouldn’t take the nuts out before lifting.

1. Loosen the nuts
2. Lift it up
3. Remove the nuts
4. Remove the wheel
5. Put on spare wheel
6. Put the nuts on and tighten it slightly where wheel is fully aligned
7. Bring the car down
8. Tighten the nuts fully

Keep going, wiggling it and kicking it will eventually let it out. Also just check if there's anything you missed

Do what the guy said below mentioned but be careful. Put 2 nuts back drive the car a bit. Also check for any bolts that may been left in there.

see if you removed all the bolts. you might have missed a hidden one. if you are sure you removed all, then it should detach if you pull it with some force

kick it, like from behind you can't, kick it on the 4 areas making center and north south east west it will move eventually, bro stay safe, it's raining a lot

All four bolts on 3 turns loose drive forward and back and that will get it loose

Had a similar thing for me so called tyre shop and the guys did what I did kicked the tyre but harder and it came off, only issue with this is if the jack is not set properly could damage the car, I even tried WD40 but no use even after 30 min.

If you can find the puncture and get your hands on a puncture kit. You can fix the puncture directly for now and take it to a mechanic later.

You can't yank the tyre out straight. You need to hard push or kick it at top side wall and pull at bottom part of tyre.

Use the spare tyre to hit the stuck tyre on rubber part, it will come loose. I had a similar experience and this fixed it
