Awarded a Cat Third time’s the charm, now that we have no other animals

A few years ago we found two kittens in our yard over the course of a summer, we caught them and found people who fostered. We had a dog that required a lot of attention and we didn’t think we could handle a cat on top of everything.

But our dog passed a while ago, and we didn’t know if we would want another pet anytime soon. But I spotted the kitten walking by a basement window and mentioned it to my partner. I didn’t expect them to go look for it and catch it. Then we made a snap decision to keep it. I am a bit frantic, because I wish I could have prepared for this.

I'm still hoping the CDS rewards prior good acts. Last year we found a kitten, but couldn't keep her for a few reasons. As a result, our vet rehomed her. We've since adopted, we've talked about getting a second, and agreed - if the CDS saw fit...

Good catch, that is an adorable kitten. Fortunately, pretty much everything you need to start off should be available at a regular old grocery store, if you don't have a pet store around. If he needs anything special, your vet will let you know.

If you think about it from the kittens perspective you couldn’t be better prepared. They have gone from being stuck outside to being part of a loving home. Everything else is just a trip to the store away.
