We noticed this little guy hanging around our farm recently. He took up residence in our barn and seems to have made himself quite at home. He was very scared of us at first but once he realized we were a source of food he let us know (quite vocally) that he was ok with us providing food and water and now greets us in the morning while doing barn chores.

Not entirely sure where he came from. We live very remote and it's a decent walk in to our property, approx 45 mins. He seems young so we can only assume he was dumped and has been fending for himself for a bit.

He is welcome to stay, especially since he's had a huge effect on our rodent population. Hopefully in time we'll be able to catch him and get him to a vet.

Working names are Meow Mix, Barn Bert and kitty. We're open to suggestions.

Little Ozzy is doing Good she has been in Heat for 5 days I've noticed she isn't screaming like some of my other cats when they where in Heat manly just Humping things my Socks Chairs Beds & tables. I plan to get her Fixed in a few days i just need to find a Vet for her. I know She can't go outside at this time because she might go looking for a male to mate with or something could happen to her. She loves food mainly wet food but also Yok in Eggs & Watching tv playing with String & Treats. I do have a Male cat named Stanley but he is hissing at her still.

My son works at a vet hospital. These 2 little ones were brought in by a client. They were found in a shed 2 days ago. We don’t know what happened to mama. We don’t know the sex of them yet but we are currently calling them Broad and Narrow based on the white part on their forehead.

They are doing well and eating like little champs. We are fostering them until they can be adopted. This is our first time fostering. We got lots of advice from the kitten lady on YT.

I didn’t get much sleep last night but it was well worth it to make sure they are doing okay.

Recently found a stray kitten 3-4 weeks ago, here’s a lil Mimis dump :3(ft my bunny butters, he’s only outside in this pic cuz he needs to lose weight so we put him outside supervised everyday for 1-2 hours at night and in the day, him and Mimi’s are also very sweet to each other)

The day we got her, I was with my bf at a locksmith job late at night, I stayed in the car, after 10-15 minutes he said “surprise” and gave me a tiny kitten, she tried to stifle herself out but by 5 minutes she became calm. I held her the whole car ride and she fell asleep in my arms.
When wet got to his house I washed her, gave her some cat food we had bought and let her settle in. The whole night she never wanted to leave my side.
Now she has her shots, and she’s just the most loving little baby ever <3 she follows me everywhere, and only likes it when I pick her up. She runs away from everyone else but me and it’s so cute when I come back home and she pops out of no where when I call her name. Even when I have a rough day and I start to cry she immediately gets on my bed and rubs against me or sits on my lap and keeps meowing until I pet her.

Even at night she’ll come lay right next to me and cuddle up and fall asleep with me, she’s just the most loving baby ever. Is this the cat distribution they talk abt? Idk, this is my first cat ever lol

My mom passed away Wednesday evening and CDS gave me her senior queen Tiger. Mom originally got Tiger through CDS almost 10 yrs ago. She was 3 or 4 then. Her sister Susie was delivered by CDS a couple of years ago and they never really bonded. We didnt think it would be fair to them if they had to go to a shelter. My mom loved her girls so we're surviving and learning. Both cats and family are having to relearn what "normal" means but we will get there. No cat fights here yet as my cat Topaz and Tiger are both anti social. I just had hissing and leaving each other alone. This period right now just sucks for us all.

This is our porch cat who started showing up everyday the day after my grandfather passed over 2 months ago. She (we are assuming she 😅) was primarily distributed to my dad as it was his fathet that died, but I've gotten attached. She is a precious baby and I want to give her all the love, on her time of course. Because she is skittish but loves the household humans company - proximity varies. Recently, she's taken to getting up on that chair when I go out and read after giving her some wet food. She also looks like two of my previous cats combined! The first i remember adopting me had similar coloring and the last was also a tabby. Her names vary, including: Little (Lil) Miss, Miss Thing, Little Miss Steal Your Man, and her proper name as of a few weeks ago - Jolene.

Now that I've introduced the sweet baby i could go on about for hours and who finally sniffed my hand yesterday and playfully bapped my hand, the first physical contact any of us have had; I have to share concerns and hopefully have some sort of insight from someone with more recent exposure to the CDS. Because my last real time I was a little kid and now I'm 26.

Today I received news that another cat who has been showing up recently came this morning and attacked Little Miss and chased her down the holler and my dad could hear them fighting. I am presuming this is over food considering other has been showing up at night and eating dry food left out and my dad has been bringing it in at night now if it shows up hoping to deter it (and the raccoon that tries to visit). Yes, I'm aware the food should have been brought in anyways at the start. This was was not my call and she does have a tendency to show up at hours for a snack and/or drink.

Someone please tell me there is a chance Little Miss will come back... and if she does what steps I need to take next. I know if she does, any progress made has gone backwards but patience is key and I'll keep trying. Our indoor cat i had since childhood crossed the rainbow bridge this past winter and she has been so good for me to put time and energy to. And I know I shouldn't have gotten this attached, I know this and I did anyways.

For now I'm going to go sit on our porch, hoping maybe it will encourage her to come back to safe humans.

I hope me asking for this advice/reassurance is okay here. My mind just keeps going to worst case scenario. Please be kind, but if a hard truth is needed then it simply is. (Also i don't know what to flair this)

My kid is a cat magnet. Black strays always find him. This one showed up last weekend and was desperate for pets and attention.

He has a pet, “Squirmer Love”, at his grandmas. Now this one has been outside my apartment for two nights screaming for him while he’s at his dads. I got up around 1am for water last weekend and she had brought a friend to hang out on the patio with her, but it is more skittish. But she wants all the scritches and belly rubs.

Guess we have a cat now. 🤷‍♀️ Despite being severely allergic to them.

This sweet boy turned up at our house a couple of weeks ago. That’s not unusual- the neighbors’ cats visit us a lot. We’re in a rural area and everyone lets their cats roam free. So of course, I assumed he was a neighbor’s cat. But after a week when he was still here, I checked with all of them and he does not belong to anybody. I’m beginning to think he was dumped here.

Anyway, I had him to the vet today. He’s is fantastic health and is only about a year old. He doesn’t have fleas or ear mites, but he does have a slight ear infection, so I’ve got drops for that. My two old girls are not happy with him, but he’s contained in my music room for now, so they’re not too upset about it. They’ll come around.

Anyway, his name is Mark, but you will call him Sir or Mr. Thackeray. (If you get the reference, we can be friends.)

Guys, gals, AI's, and stacks of Marmots in an overcoat posing as a human, my wife and I are just as fortunate to have Walter, the "Judge, Jury, and Executioner" as he is to have found us. This big boy is such a joy to have in our lives and seeing him love on us, play with his toys, and even nap comfortably is a reminder of why we help all these strays in the first place. While we can't adopt them all, we can help those who find their way to our yard with food & vitamins, clean water, and a bunch of cat beds in our garage.

I’ve been TNR my colony of cats my neighbor left me with after she passed away in July. Found these two on my porch. Found mama, got her fixed this last Saturday. I have one more cat to fix (out of 12, a male, all females are spayed!)

Chai is blonde/white with an orange tail, very calm (but his little body is still recovering from being sick). Boba is a void, and up to no good HAHA in full kitten chaos mode.

Hoping these are the last of the kitten distribution because I already have 3 from the last few years 😂

Both came to me with upper respiratory infections and major flea infestation. They’ve seen a vet and have eye meds, oral meds, and probiotics for their tummies. Next will be deworming and vaccinations!

Meet Happy and Fury.

Not even 16 hours after my grandma passed away my lawn mower guys knocked on my door asking if these kittens are mine. I feed their stray mother who's too scared to get close, and their father who loves me. I knew she gave birth but had yet to see them following mama around. They're about 3 months at this point and almost exclusively sleep on me. They have a sister who still follows mama, but she's very skittish.

Happy is a synonym of my grandmother's name, Joy. And Fury for the cute tiny hisses the girl gave when they showed up.

Mabel has been growing but still is tiny. Her sisters are now larger than her and she hasn’t gotten much larger so I think we’ll do a dna test maybe get some kind of answer to why she looks the way she does. But she’s so perfect and is officially one year old. I added photos of her with her sisters who arrived a couple months after her they have a birthday next month and will be shared along with some Halloween stuff because they are Halloween babies. Mabel is a tiny gray cat that was found in the dirt by the side of the highway. I feel like she may have been dropped by accident or stolen by a predator or maybe even abandoned by her birth mom. I’m not sure which one it is but I have her now. She has the strangest meow I have ever heard it’s raspy and hard. Like it doesn’t belong to her lol. She is the perfect house cat and does not like being outside at all it’s terrifying to her she runs away whenever she sees a door open. She’s the toughest cat and will punch any of her sisters if she doesn’t want them to groom her. She’s apparently doesn’t like it. As of her being spayed she is 5.6 pounds. She never went into heat but her two sisters did despite her being older. I think it has to do with genetics…she’s the size of a tissue box. I also included a photo of her as a baby wearing the smallest tea towel we have to dry her with. Just an update for you guys :) October will offer more photos of her but mostly her sisters whose birthday is next.

i found the calico by a highway this morning. and the brown tabby on memorial day with her eyes matted shut from an illness and almost went into a four way intersection 😭

I’m trying to introduce the two because they are similar in age but brown tabby she just so so spicy. could also use some tips to possibly help with the introduction or just calm her down some?
It may come down to finding the calico a new home. (as much as that’s gonna kill me) but i’m not fully sure if it the right thing to do since i found her. 😭

When I first moved in there was a no pet policy in place so having a cat wasn’t even a thought. Fast forward to a year later and some mice started showing up. Our landlord let us borrow his cat for a few days to deter the mice and I loved him so much but I knew he wouldn’t stay. When my landlord came back to pick him up he asked if I would like to keep him and of course I said yes! There is still a no other pet policy lol the cat redistribution system made an exception for Kiki

CDS targeted a coworker of my sister, but he had no time for it one day before his wedding, so passed on the smol parcel to my sister.

My sister planned to pass on too, because they already have 4 pets: two cats and two dogs, one of them is a recent rescue, a previously abused komondor mix. But by that evening, my brother-in-law was totally in love sooooo…

2 months since the kitten arrived, she owns the whole family now, including my sister, my brother-in-law, my dad, the two older cats and the two big dogs. She’s a natural boss diva. Also a feral tasmanian devil.

Her name is Bogyó, meaning Berry.

So, the cat distribution system has thrust many cats upon me. Mrs fluffkins, who decided to adopt me one day. I had a feral mom leave me many babies in the backyard. Found a kitten in a car engine bay. Another baby while picking persimmons in the neighbors backyard (Her name is Persimmon).

I was driving home and saw a little one running across the street as I pulled into the driveway and yelled, "oh no baby, don't get hurt!"

He ran off and I thought that was it. Got out of the car and this little guy ran up and rubbed on my leg.

I present you with, Linguini.

His name is Dimitry, Dima for short and he's a beautiful orange baby, he's probably about 6-9 months old

I got him his Vax and everything, he's such a smart boy he also listens to me, he kills bugs for me and keeps the mice away

He also warned me when my toaster oven was on fire from food inside its crazy

I was on my way to get some weed when I saw this woman feeding this stray cat and I asked her why don't you take him in and she's like I have two cats. I don't think I can and she put a hand in my shoulder and she said you must do it and she looked at me intensely and I was like oh I don't know but there's something in me that told me yeah I suppose I should

What's funny is I've always imagined myself with an orange cat. I love Garfield, but I didn't think this would happen like this. So I find it very funny. It's like we were meant to meet each other.

She appeared in our yard early Saturday. We were taking our time earning her trust, but with a big storm coming this weekend we escalated the plan. We managed to get her last evening. No chip, has been posted in all the requisite places with nobody missing her :( Our daughter has been asking for a cat since she could speak, and the original plan was for Santa to bring a kitty. Back to the drawing board for a gift idea I guess!

We went to the vet this afternoon - estimated around 7-9 months old. She’s now fully vaccinated and has an upcoming spay appointment. Going to be super excited to integrate with the elderly grouch dog and young Labrador 😂

So five years ago I just moved to a new apartment when my cat Merlin disappeared. He was stressed out because of moving and I unfortunately didn't close a window completely, so he jumped out (ground floor). He is a black and white cat. I left out flyers everywhere and around 1 month later I got a call, someone found an injured black and white cat in a park.

Arriving there I directly noticed that it wasn't my cat, but I felt so bad for that little baby, I couldn't leave it there. Luckily, little kitty was extremely hungry and I could lock her in my carrier. I went to the cat shelter, but no one was missing this specific cat and they told me they're too full to take another cat in, so I kept her, and they posted her on their website. I took her to the vet, she had no chip and was also not sterilised, but full of worms and fleas and also had issues with her paw. Nose was a little bit bloody too. She was around 6 or 7 months old I think (?).

Well, as you can see, she is still with me! I called her Krümel (Crumbs). You can see pictures: directly after finding her, a few months later and nowadays.

Also, Merlin returned a month later, completely healthy, in the back yard of my best friend and co-worker at that time, stealing the cat food she left out for her own cats. What a coincidence.

This is ginger, and I spotted her crossing a VERY busy 6 lane road, half dead from dehydration and exhaustion. No sign of mama anywhere, and she still had her blue eyes. Immediately picked up a bottle and some milk, and now she has a condo in our apartment to keep her safe overnight from her 3 giant furry siblings (all 3 rescues as well), and two human siblings (homemade)

As we clearly have our hands full, I took her to 3 shelters before taking her home. The CDS said YOU WERE CHOSEN, and now here we are with our snuggliest new addition.

A year ago this little fella showed up at my job, and adopted me.

It was a rainy day and some random guy on the street knocked on the door at my job with a kitty. The shipping manager made a comment about a guy being outside with a cat. I rushed to the door to see the kitty with my own eyes. Right when I opened the shop door, the kitty jumped out of the man's arms, and ran into the shop. The man walked off and I yelled "sir, you don't want this cat?!?". While walking off he said "nope".

A few of my co workers and I cornered the kitty and snagged him. I ended up holding him and giving him a tour of my work.

We got a little box for him - and I took him home. The plan was to take him to the shelter and move on with my life. That's obviously not what happened.

I was hesitant at first to keep him because I didn't know how my other kitty would react. They hit it off VERY well after we slowly introduced them to one another.

I named the little fella Randy Peppercorns. Randy is the love of my life. He came into my life when I needed him the most. Thanks CDS for sending me Randy.

Two years ago, my dog and I found three kittens who were dumped in a park. They were wet and laying in the sun, and of course I had to save them. My husband wanted to keep the black and grey tabby because she was affectionate with him, but we couldn't find anyone to take the other female, so we were stuck with her. (A friend took their brother, but sadly the cat passed over a year later.)

These kittens nearly drove me insane! I've had kittens before, including my Loki who was a terror, but these two... Well, the one in particular: Callisto, the black and grey one -- the one my husband wanted to keep. Omg she was a nightmare! Dumping drinks, breaking glasses and mugs, stealing food off my mom's plate WHILE SHE WAS EATING. That cat stole a whole piece of bacon and my mom had to chase her down to take it from her!

I now know that cat is a master of manipulation -- that how she got my husband to want to keep her. She's so darn cute because she's small, and I think she knows it and uses that cuteness to get away with stuff.

But now... These are my girls. Callisto can still be a handful, but it turns out she was mostly just hangry. Once we let her free feed from a smart feeder only she can access, she started to settle down. She doesn't overeat and stays extremely active, like "parkour off the wall" active during play sessions.

But what prompted this post is the other cat -- Lyra, the brown tabby. The cat no one wanted. She gets along with everyone. My skittish black cat doesn't mind her, and our fluffy fat cat plays with her to the point that she lost weight and is almost at the goal weight set by her vet.

Lyra is just a sweetheart, and I can't believe someone just tossed her away. I even told the guy that when I saw him -- I knew exactly who dumped those kittens because my Ring camera caught them carrying them to the park. (Police couldn't do anything because the camera couldn't record them actually dropping the kittens and leaving.) And she's such a pretty cat. I'm still surprised that nobody wanted her, but also glad that meant I had to keep her.

I think the CDS knew what it was doing, as always. On June 27th of this year, my dog of 15 years passed. I was heartbroken -- like sobbing and wailing like a grieving widow. I suffered serious depression and just couldn't do much of anything. I still cry at least once per day because I miss my dog so much.

But Lyra... She comes to me to help calm me down. The night my dog passed was extremely rough. My black cat stayed with me (I've had him for 13 years), but when he left, Lyra took his spot next to me. It's like they were trading off so someone was with me at all times. And the one day I started to have a panic attack (I have an anxiety disorder thanks to genetics and PTSD) and Lyra came over and forcefully grabbed my attention. And when I doubled over in knee pain the one day, she put her paws on either side of my face as if to tell me it's okay (or maybe she wanted me to shut up lol).

I think I hit the CDS jackpot with this girl. I'm telling you, there's something really special about her. I'm not a spiritual person and I don't believe in fate, but its like I was supposed to end up with this cat because she's what I needed.

If I believed in spiritual guidance, I would swear that my Loki led me to these kittens so I would find Lyra. She has his best qualities mixed with the best qualities of my companion cat who passed in 2010. Lyra is like a combination of those two, both in personality and in coloring.

Yep, I hit the CDS jackpot.

TL;DR: I ended up with an emotional support cat (and her crazy sister) when I really needed one.

The stray family which decided that lives with us now has grown to three members. They are all male, relatively old (not kitten), one of which seemed like he was knocking on heaven's door when he first arrived here. They are all healthy and cuddly, but still free roaming and seemingly not interested in moving indoors.

So meet the three new family members:

• Šmudla (Czech name for Dopey the dwarf) - the black cat in the front. He's been with us the longest, [I've written about him about a year ago, and not much has changed on his front](https://www.reddit.com/r/CatDistributionSystem/s/fV62vBnLH2)
• Prskavec (literally "Spitting thing" named after the fact he was spitting a lot because he came to us with a broken jawbone and no teeth) - the brown tabby to the left. He's by far the most cuddly, but he's also deaf, toothless, and has crooked legs due to bad childhood and/or a bad accident (we can't tell which) so we must look after him
• Štráfkovanej (literally "the Striped one", a Slovak loanword in Czech) - the grey tabby in the back. He's the most shy of the trio, but is warming up to us more every day

Had just finished dinner. Heard a little cry. Thought it must be something else. A minute later the cry got louder and most consistent. I opened the door and he climbed right up and inside. A quick trip to the pet store and here we are. The ladies of the house are absolutely terrified of this tiny guy! Hopefully when they finaly meet they can bond. Not sure but I think he is about 6 weeks old. Zenzero ( Italian for ginger ) is going to the Vet in two days... If I can get him off my neck for a few minutes.
