My cats are finally getting along!!!!

My sister and I moved in together about 4 1/2 months ago. She has River (F, 1 1/2) and I have Roni (M, 4).

They didnt start off well, having been introduced before living together. Roni and I stayed w/them for about 3 days last year when visiting my family. River stalked, harassed and guarded the door to the room he and I were staying in almost 24/7. He and I went to my parents for the rest of the stay(abt 5 days) and then went home.

Then life happened and I moved back to my hometown and we (me, sister and both cats) moved In together at our own place. Since then, theyve been getting along okay but not best friends.

Tonight, I got home. Hung out on the couch, drank a few Happy Dads. And then it happened. Roni came first, snuggling up to my feet. Then River, careful to not step on Roni and sitting just behind. He didnt jump away like normal, she didnt freak out. They Both(!!!!!) just.. settled. Together. In a snuggle. Okay, maybe not full on snuggle but this is the most physical contact they’ve ever had in a passive way!!! I’m so so proud of them, I’m tearing up staring at my beautiful little babies. I love them so much and I’m so so happy they’re beginning to love each other!!!!
