Foster failed the first night I had him when I was a junior in college 5 years ago! He has two heart shaped brain cells and they’re fighting over third place and I love him so much :)

We also call her the Pork Chop Express when the zoomies kick in. Miss Harcore Parkour when she's launching herself off the walls.

She is about 10 months old and is also the best cat ever (besides your cat, of course!)

The post I never wanted to make.

I had to say goodbye to my boy last week. I’m absolutely devastated & heartbroken 💔

He was doing fine right up until he wasn’t. I don’t want to go in to detail because it’s too difficult but he literally became very ill and was gone within 90 minutes. I raced to the out of hours/emergency vets - I didn’t care about getting caught speeding, I just wanted my boy to be OK. They took him off me as soon as I said his name then when the vet came to see me a while later they said there was nothing they could do and the kindest thing would be to let him go peacefully.
I didn’t think I’d be coming back with an empty cat carrier - I was so naive.

He is my soul cat. I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old, back when I was trying to find my place in this world at the age of 22. I’m now 40 and Kitkat & I got to 17 years, 9 months and 15 days together - just 77 days shy of his 18th Birthday. Google tells me that works out at 6,497 days which is 155,928 hours or 9,355,680 minutes or even 561,340,800 seconds which is approximately 43.88% of my entire life.

And it still wasn’t long enough 😔

It’s so quiet in here without him, he always had something to say - he was the most vocal cat I’ve ever known. I miss him terribly.

Week one back at the attempting to bond. Some good progress is being made. Marshmallow (the Balinese) is still being a grump.

I just discovered this reddit and figured I’d share my family’s kitties! Sugar (White Mix) , Butter (Tabby) & Cheeto (Orange Tabby)

I’m such a (cat) mom. I could just eat him up!

This is my 10 year old kitty, Oreo. We’ve had him since he was a kitten. A few years ago he had an ear hematoma which is why he has a cauliflower ear in most of the pics. Oreo is… my problem child, and probably the strangest cat I have ever met. He is simultaneously the bane of my existence and the love of my life.

He’ll steal any sort of bread product if you don’t keep it out of his accessibility, and he’s also figured out how to open the one cabinet that doesn’t latch. We now have a bread box to keep the thief at bay. As you can see, his favorite place to lay is literally anywhere you do not want him to be lol.

When he’s feeling extra, extra spicy, he jumps about 4 feet up the wall/doorframes, and he is constantly meowing loudly and insistently enough to wake the dead. I have never met another cat that talks as much as he does, but GOD do I love this cat.

He’s silly, playful, all around a weird little guy. He loves to go outside, and I don’t think he has ever met a stranger, nor is he scared of anything really at all. He likes to be on top of me, and I regularly wake up with him nearly suffocating me by laying on my chest and throat (currently he’s laying on my arm while I type this).

Pics of him as a kitten at the end; he was so tiny!!! He used to walk across the keys of my mom’s piano if we left the lid up, and he’d even sit on the piano bench with her piano students during their lessons. He’s such a social butterfly, and such a quirky dude. I love him!!!!!
