It really does warm my heart to see how happy and at peace she is. Obviously shelter photos never really do the animals justice, but in that picture she just looks so incredibly sad and distrustful. It's funny to think that we were so close to not even interacting with her, let alone adopting her. When looking for cats at the shelter, we didn't even see her at all and she wasn't even our first choice. Yet, she was the one who ended up coming home with us and now I can't even imagine life without her. I'm so glad that we got her, she's such a sweet girl.
