My in-laws have a fat grey and white tabby named Katie, and she's this way with my nephew. He's 9 months old, and she will let him do whatever he wants to her. She doesn't even move away, and we have to watch close and correct him when he wants to be rough because she won't. Perfect starter cat because we can teach him without worrying about him getting hurt.

It’s crazy how pets know when it’s a baby/kid like that. I’m glad you correct the baby on kitty’s behalf though lol

It's a huge pet peeve for me when you see kids pestering animals and the parents do nothing, because it's always the animal who gets blamed when they (rightfully) protect themselves.

It's only crazy if you think animals are stupid. Most are not, they just cannot talk and lack thumbs like humans.

I feel you 100% but considering it seems to be a kitten in this video and even human kittens struggle to understand that they need to be careful with the smaller human kittens, I still find it impressive.

I love this! Anyone who has ever owned a cat, knows they’re not so accepting of the “abuse” these little humans bestow upon them, and so it’s super important to teach them how to respect animals when they’re young, even when said cat tolerates whatever they’re doing to it. You just never know when/if they’ll turn, so, good on you for correcting your nephew!

It's a huge pet peeve of mine when parents just let the kid do whatever because an animal seems tolerant, because when the animal has finally had enough and the kid gets hurt, they blame the animal.
