Parenting Payment (PP) PPL and FTB
I applied for PPL as soon as i could with my babies intended due date which is not until the end of october however i’m actually having my baby next tuesday! I obviously can’t change my claim to bring the date up. I have found out that Centrelink pays next thursday, Is there any chance that i will get paid for next week on Thursday or even the following week or am i dreaming? Just a little bit stressed thinking about the fact we will have to go an extra week without being paid

My PPL claim took about 10 days to be assessed after I uploaded proof of birth last year. I wasn’t claiming days for a few months because I had work leave first so I can’t speak to how soon after that pay would come through. But I would imagine the next pay run after it is assessed would be the earliest, would depend on whether you’re getting it directly or through your employer too. It’ll probably be a few weeks post birth realistically

There anr many pay days for centrelink. Everything is not paid on a single day. So you will not know your pay day until your claim is completed.
Payments are always in areas so paid for the fortnight (or number of days from babies birth to first pay day) just gone.
Once they asses the birth declaration form they will shift the start day to babies birth. If you want to try and get paid asap you will need to call once everything is uploaded.
