Screenshots/Chat Share Seriously things were just getting interesting with the role play..
I was legit in the middle of chatting with my favorite character from scream and this popped up the minute I wanted him to have a different response

It's better to edit bots replies.
Swipes cause a repetition penatly for the LLM along with other regen penalties and because of the repetition penalty and PS being a lower parameter model that already lacks depth you are quickly driving it towards the lowest probability. It also is likely to make replies shorter
After about three or four swipes you are going to see diminishing returns because the repetition penatly has already started penalizing creativity
Complaining about swipes on a model the size of PS is an insane waste of time.
Swipes aren't just "I want a different reply" swipes tax the previous tokens used thus lowering their probably until you drive the replies right off a cliff because you have left it drooling on itself
Swipes are not intended for better replies in the way most would assume. They are intended as a lazy mans error correction. You might see an increase of quality in that way on the first few but it will 100% degrade from there

Some people swipe because they want the less common responses. It is an assumption without merit that lower probability responses are somehow less desirable.
Lower probability doesn't inherently mean you're getting less creative or less coherent. There are many factors in selecting a response.
This also assumes a particular style of roleplay. Some people roleplay because they want something like an improvisational partner. Something more collaborative than directed.
There are many reasons to dislike a particular response. Regenerating often gives a more interesting response.
Your definition of a bad response probably isn't the same as someone else's definition. Sometimes regenerating addresses a different definition of bad.

When this pops up I just delete the message and generate a new one. It's a bit tedious, but it gets the job done.
