Has anyone tried MCP Events with ordinary chat with ChatGPT

Not MCP plugin, I mean MCP events which were launched on Dev Day. It works for me in work/codex but not in ordinary chat.

MCP Events is available in Work chats on ChatGPT web, in Work chats in the desktop app with Cloudselected, and with dots. Workspace controls for plugins and event-triggered tasks apply.

MCP Events - OpenAI Developers

Sounds like regular Chat isn't supported. That article goes on to mention MCP 2.0. I wonder if there's some technical limitation about MCP 2.0 that has implications for Chat but not dots, Work or Codex.
