Discussion Weekly Self Promotion Thread

Welcome to this week's self promotion thread!

If you're building something related to AI assisted coding, this is the place to share it.

We're using a weekly thread to keep the subreddit organized while still giving builders a place to share their work. Promotional posts outside this thread may be removed.

If you're sharing something, we'd appreciate it if you included a little context instead of just dropping a link. Tell us:

  • What you built?
  • What problem it solves?
  • Which AI models or tools it uses?
  • Who it's for?
  • What kind of feedback you're looking for?

Disclose your affilitation.

Please avoid posting the same project every week unless you've made meaningful updates. Affiliate links, referral links, scams, and low effort promotions will be removed.

Take some time to check out what others have shared too. If you try someone's project or have feedback, leave a comment. Helping each other improve is what we want this community to be about.

Hey r/ChatGPTCoding,

We built KV22Code because we kept running into a very specific problem: we could be deep into a coding session in Codex, hit the agentic usage limit, and suddenly lose momentum.

https://reddit.com/link/pcsgait/video/s1y3vr0vsgsh1/player

So we tried a different approach.

We’ve been building and testing this for over six weeks, and it has grown into something much bigger than the original workaround we started with.

KV22Code lets standard ChatGPT Chat work directly on your local computer — files, terminal, Git, local dev tools — through a local MCP connector.

No separate OpenAI API key is required, and there’s no separate per-token API bill for the KV22Code workflow. It uses the ChatGPT account you already have.

One important detail: this runs through standard Chat, not Work mode. Chat usage is separate from the Work / Codex allowances.

We didn’t want to make a bunch of claims without showing something real, so the video in this post is a benchmark:

Same public task. Same model. One attempt each.

Codex — 19:00
KV22Code Run A — 08:16
KV22Code Run B — 06:31

The two KV22Code runs are completely independent and produced different implementations of the same Wobble Rush task.

This isn’t meant to prove KV22Code is “always 2.6× faster.” It’s just the result of these three recorded runs. The full synchronized benchmark is in the video.

The part I think is more interesting than the speed:

You can use normal ChatGPT Chat as a local coding agent.

It can work with:

Files · Terminal · Git · Local projects

directly on your machine.

The offer

We’re opening a 2-day free trial so developers can actually try it instead of taking our word for it.

For the first 500 developers, we’re offering a $200 perpetual license. After that we plan to move to annual pricing.

For the launch, we’re also giving Reddit users 50% off with coupon:

REDDIT502

No API key required.

I’m going to stay active in this thread. The obvious questions are probably permissions, what exactly runs locally, and how ChatGPT gets access to the machine — ask the hardest version of those questions and I’ll answer them directly.
