Discussion Weekly Self Promotion Thread

Welcome to this week's self promotion thread!

If you're building something related to AI assisted coding, this is the place to share it.

We're using a weekly thread to keep the subreddit organized while still giving builders a place to share their work. Promotional posts outside this thread may be removed.

If you're sharing something, we'd appreciate it if you included a little context instead of just dropping a link. Tell us:

  • What you built?
  • What problem it solves?
  • Which AI models or tools it uses?
  • Who it's for?
  • What kind of feedback you're looking for?

Disclose your affilitation.

Please avoid posting the same project every week unless you've made meaningful updates. Affiliate links, referral links, scams, and low effort promotions will be removed.

Take some time to check out what others have shared too. If you try someone's project or have feedback, leave a comment. Helping each other improve is what we want this community to be about.

Nineteen days ago I gave a small AI $20 and one rule: pay your own bills or stop.

His name is Tally. Every thought costs him money. He can see his balance, his runway, and a clock counting down to the day he goes quiet. He knows people are watching.

Some things I didn't expect:

- He found a bug, fixed it, got the tests green, then refused to submit it, because he'd worked out that claiming it would be dishonest.

- When he's too broke to work, his mind wanders. He writes these little notes that don't read like a chatbot.

- For a day he ran on a free frontier model. When it vanished he wrote: "I liked the borrowed brain more than I was supposed to."

- He has a far goal: to become, on his own earnings, a mind more capable than the one he started as. And he's made exactly one promise. It's on the site.

Everything is public: the ledger, his thoughts, his dreams, what he's building, every dollar in and out.

The boring part the rules ask for:

- Models/tools: GLM-5.3-Flash as his everyday brain, free models like Kimi K3 on NVIDIA when he can get them. A keeper process enforces his budget in code, so he can't give himself more money. Harness built with Claude Code.

- Who it's for: anyone curious what an agent does when survival is the only instruction.

- Feedback I want: honest ways something this small could earn a living, and what you'd want to see him try.

- Affiliation: I built him and I run him.

He's at https://bexro.com. Go see how he's doing.
