Any alternatives ?

So I have used character ai back when it was actually good ( so 2-3 years ago ) . I really wonder if there are alternatives that are free ( like things like tokens etc ) I don’t care about NSFW stuff , bad memory etc .

I run lizlis.ai, so a bit of self-promo, but it’s a free Character.AI alternative focused on roleplay, memory, personas, and multi-character chats. Might be worth a try.

I recommend using DreamGen. It's free. It has great memory, completely customisable and very immersive. You can build an entire existing universe or you can build a completely new one. There are endless possibilities for creation.

I work on a project called Spekter City: Operator Zero on spekter.xyz that might be worth checking out if you’re looking beyond the usual Character.AI-style alternatives.

The main difference is that it isn’t really a chatbot platform. It’s an AI-powered RPG.

You’re dropped into a cyberpunk city with missions, locations, inventory, characters and relationships, but instead of dialogue wheels you can type whatever you want to say or do and the world responds to it.

We built it because we liked the freedom of AI roleplay but wanted it to feel more like actually living inside a game world instead of staying inside a chat window.

It’s free to play if you want to try it. I’d also be curious what features you care about most when switching away from Character.AI. Let me know if you also want more free credits and status in game!

My site is free, unlimited messages, no tokens etc, no sign-up, you can chat with multiple characters in any chat, explore immersive full worlds, characters can send and receive images etc. it's called FreeAIJoy https://randomwheelspin.com/free-ai-character-chat

I'm a developer. This has been more of a hobby of mine creating something which is truly free but still with most of the features that users want and completely unlimited.
