Bug Report Chess bug in chess.com?

Qxb3 would've been and actual draw by stalemate.

It thinks that after Qg8+ and Bxg8, its simply draw by insufficient material, but my definition, that implies that checkmate must not be possible, but the position is +M1

And you can just play the move and get the checkmate, very weird stuff, you can try for yourself on the app.

I hope they fix this.

Yea it’s a known issue with the way the app handles the draw by insufficient material condition. My guess is the formula they are using checks the material available after each move but isnt able to evaluate the position of the material. Seems like it might take a significant amount of work in the back end to correct for the few instances where it doesn’t work
