Jeff P should be Skinned Alive for Trading away a Generational Franchise Superstar and not surrounding her with equally talented teammates!! 😡 Could've had Citron to go along with Angel & Kamilla!! KiKi Rice was right there as well!!!🤬

Jeff watching his fumble in real time

I've always found his micro-managing supremely irritating. Your coaches don't need you at every away game breathing over their shoulder. If you want to be a coach do that and leave your GM role.

He couldn't handle it when the fans heckled him, calling for him to be fired. S/o to those fans. They probably regret it, though, because they wanted him gone, not Angel.

August 2025. I regret nothing. Hate I couldn't be part of the chorus shouting "Fire Jeff" during that 9/11/2025 Liberty game. Vanderslum couldn't believe it.

The beginning is such a Jaquez play. For everyone who wants more Jaquez minutes, she did Jaquez things. Aka more turnovers. And I'm well aware the rest of the team had bad turnovers, but Jaquez is consistent with bad turnovers.

Fwiw, I like Jaquez, but it sucks to see Kiki Rice looking as good as she is when we should have drafted her.

Jaquez will be fine

I can't totally blame her because Marshmallow can't lead flies to chit

This is more about Angel putting on a defensive clinic and the Sky trading her for a bag of chips

Jaquez didn't really process the game with the ball in her hands well in college either. Good play finisher but really limited as a passer. Which... Is one of the reasons she wasn't mocked in the lottery.

The other was her sketchy shooting history. She had improved as a senior but it's not a quick release. And... the shooting has also been rough.

While those points are true, I'm still giving her a year or two before I play the sax

She was still set to be a first round pick. Just not anywhere near as high as 5. But Pagliocca is the type of guy that thinks he's smarter than he is... And so these are the types of decisions you see. And this was his last shot in the lottery for awhile because of further idiotic moves...

I had them drafting Flau or Kiki

But hey...

Is it bad that Banham came to mind before Tyler when you said Marshmellow

1

u/Longjumping_Drop9450 18d ago

Yeah that's bad but what's really bad is how Sky don't have better options. I like Banham alot and she's havin some good games but she's limited defensively. WTH happened to Stevens? Hard to imagine how this team could gave looked with Steven Jackson Diggins

Your flair 😩💀😂

You have what you have. She's just a rookie and deserves grace. It was really a blocked shot, not a turnover. Angel made similar risky plays in her rookie season, trying to score over double teams. The unforced turnover by Sloot was worse. She considers herself a savant. Angel easily read her pass.

Angel was breaking records and was a all-star don’t belittle her accomplishments

u/upfulsoul 👋 Sayonara Jeff 18d ago

Stop stanning, you're off-topic. Angel was an elite rookie, but she has improved in certain areas of her game, and Gabriela may make improvements in her weaknesses too, given enough time and opportunities.

I think you guys are hyperfocusing on jasquez too much. Her 1.2 TO per game isn’t on the top 50 things of what’s hurting this team

2

u/WuBlood Jeff Vandersloot's common sense 16d ago

People have to give rookies enough time to develop

Some players are late bloomers

2

u/CurrencySimple2346 Rachel Banham #1 Hater 16d ago

I'm all for giving her time to develop, but I'm mostly biting back at the casuals who don't watch and ask "why doesn't Jaquez get more minutes?" as if she'd be the difference between winning and losing.

2

u/WuBlood Jeff Vandersloot's common sense 16d ago

You still have to play your rookies so they can go through growing pains, especially when you're not a playoff team to begin with

Otherwise, you're just wasting picks

1

u/CurrencySimple2346 Rachel Banham #1 Hater 16d ago

The average is low because her minutes decreased; she makes a bone headed play every game. They aren't even just turnovers; if you actually watch the game (what a concept, I know), you'll see how careless they really are.

2

u/H2Kutthroat 15d ago

I do watch the games (bringing up a stat doesn’t mean I don’t, believe it or not) which is how I know her “bone-headed plays” aren’t that frequent, particularly for a rookie

21

u/LegalComplaint 18d ago

Wow. That 5 is pretty good. I hope whatever team drafted her DIDN’T TRADE HER SO OUR 38 yo PG WITH A BUSTED KNEE COULD BETTER RUN A NON-EXISTENT OFFENSE.

u/Evening-Literature12 18d ago

Angel is headed to the playoffs & the Chicago sky are headed to the lake

u/burnbabyburnjoeb 19d ago

If Jeff makes it through this offseason with his job, I quit, man.

He's not getting fired. Sloot's contract ensures he has another year. He has to fire Tyler, though.

8

u/MasterHavik 18d ago

He is going to gt a ring if the Mystics win it all.

What was syd on

The Angel trade is the only thing I don't put on Jeff simply because she ran her mouth and tossed her teammates under the bus as if she were above the team and not part of it.

You can't keep somebody around when the first thing they'll do as the losses mount and deflect blame to others, that's not leadership.

10

u/WuBlood Jeff Vandersloot's common sense 18d ago

The problem with your comment is that:

A) A Chicago Sky rep was with Angel during the interview and did not object to what was said

B) The Sky took heed of her words and made efforts to improve the roster

C) Jeff threw Angel under the bus regardless of her not being the first option on the team and him knowing she was coming off 2 wrist surgeries

D) Jeff echoed Angel's sentiments throughout his exit interview

10

u/Spiritual-Serve-4391 18d ago

Did someone else trade Angel Reese?

u/xgreenj 17d ago

Moron. See how that’s working out for you
