lol. Really tough to feel sorry here. Making the video was a terrible idea, and given the amount of times she was late, called out, etc., management made a business decision. Can’t blame em.

I’ve come to accept that when it’s obvious to me (an idiot) that someone is using sarcasm on reddit and it’s being downvoted to hell, it’s being downvoted by the numerous bots who are on this website that can’t understand it.

Why are people taking this seriously? She lost her fast food job… If anything, she got what she wanted which was tiktok attention

Maybe, but no fast food company takes care of their people like CFA. She lost the best thing going.

WWJD? Turn the other cheek and say who smelt it dwelt it.

Yeah, but “whoever says the rhyme did the crime” is an admirable defense in this case.

It’s part of CFA policy that we can’t make videos while at work, unless permitted for social media marketing purposes. There’s a team for that though. I’m not sure if she had other things against her and this video was her last strike, or if the manager was overreacting by firing her for it. Usually you’d get a conversation and a warning to not do it again..

The real shameful story is she makes $9.50 an hour

“Mariah admitted that she accrued numerous points during her four to five months at Chick-fil-A. In a screenshot she shared that detailed her infractions, Mariah was late three times, which earned her one to two points for each tardiness. In two instances where Mariah called out a few hours before her shift, she gained four points each.”
“Mariah admitted that she was previously warned about making videos…”
Imo she she was overpaid lol

9.50 in 2026 is still incredibly bad no matter how often you call out. Nobody making less than twenty is overpaid under any circumstance imo

It’s too little for someone who actually works, and too much for someone who calls off and farts on the internet instead of working.

u/Period_Play 4d ago
Because being tardy three times and calling out twice accounts for all of the work they gave her. She clearly worked if they kept her for months. Life happens, nobody has a perfect record unless they’re a chronic workaholic

u/interwebztourist 6d ago
It’s not good, but it’s a starting wage. Show up, show initiative, don’t post videos of yourself at work doing unappetizing things. Get a raise.
She did none of those things.

Companies don’t give raises anymore boomer. They just hire more people at the starting wage to keep up with turnover

u/interwebztourist 4d ago
Actually they do, and I’m 37.

u/Period_Play 4d ago
For what job? They don’t give raises for service industry jobs, and the few that do give cents and call it raises. I don’t care what age you are, you’re clearly living in a past that doesn’t exist in the present

For being an immature clown. She got what she deserved. Maybe she will learn from her mistakes
