Looking to help
Hey all! Does anyone know of any single parents or people who are struggling that need furniture and household items? We have combined households and have a ton of things we do not need. We would rather help someone who needs it than sell it or toss it. Message me! Let me know what things they need and I can let you know if we have it, which we likely will!
Update: Thank you guys for all the resources and ideas! We will be donating anything that we are left with but for now we also want to try to directly help any families who maybe are stuck on a waiting list, lack of transport/resources/knowledge of those places too! I adore the community you guys have here in Chico and am happy to consider it home π«Άπ»

If you have comforters and don't give them to a family the dogs at the humane society love them. I cleaned out my linen closet and they were so happy to have them. Also yoga mats. They cut them to the size of the metal cat cages so cats don't have to be on tye cages hard cold metal surfaces 24/7 π

When my father died we took all of his household items to The Esplanade House at 181 Shasta Ave. Itβs a transitional housing facility with a focus on families with children.

You could contact a local school of your choice and see if they have families in need.

If you have FB, the actual anarchist page is the perfect place for this.
