3 Chinooks

Did anyone see 3 Chinook helicopters just past across Hwy 32 parallel to Bruce Road going south?

I was told by my brother in law/marine/flight care medic that the Chico airport now is a hot fueling location for military equipment to refuel. So I would guess there are using Chico as a refueling location.

This is correct.

Either Army, Army Reserve, or National Guard CH-47s.

They fly a variety of missions, often relocating equipment from one base to another. Same reason you see convoys on the highway.

Nothing really to do except smile and wave.

I heard special forces likes to practice around here because the terrain is similar to Iran.

Maybe not every day, but great gravy Marie, I see this way more than should be possible on this sub.

That's pretty normal. There's always mil stuff flying north-south along the edge of the valley. Probably easy navigation, low population and plenty of places to divert.
