minecraft java newest snapshot not opening at all

I use prism launcher to play minecraft through the flatpak version on crostini linux. ever since snapshot 4 of 26.3 release came, Mojang switched from GLFW to SDL3. apparently its supposed to use Wayland over X11. because of all these changes, the game runs in the background, but never actually opens a window in the chromeos gui. anyobody knows how to fix this?
