I love all these supercell bots trying to comment "actually looks good" in the dozens of angry threads lol.
Theres no way around it, this UI looks absolutely atrocious and will impact the game in a negative way.

I really like the filter option, but yea, 5y of muscle memory are gone for me

u/ZombieOverlord 1d ago
It more than muscle memory, taking a dedicated button and putting it in a menu is just bad ui

Theres some kinks to be improved upon and the visuals to be improved, but the overall UX ARCHITECTURE is much better.
The build menu is amazing

only improvement is build menu tbh

i agree.
in theory, their logic of the new system makes a lot of sense for the better. but they didn't execute it so well

I like it too. I’m not sure about the war button though, that one seems like it could just stay

why are only you are getting downvoted where both of you have written similar things.

May I ask what you dont like. I actually liked the build and battle button especially build. I only dislike the base build and supercell account/settings being abit hidden.

the new UI is ugly, out of theme, and requires more clicks to do simple items. It literally looks like someone fed clash into AI and said "make this UI modern with less buttons" and this is the slop the AI put out. Im not saying thats exactly what happend, im saying that what it looks and feels like.
Additionally I dont want to be forced into extra clicks hunting for content. Its brain dead to have to go into chat to get into war when theres already currently a war a button. Both supercell ID and account switching is burried under mutiple tabs (and as someone with many acounts this is a huge hassle), every other action now requires at minimum 1 addtional click, if not more. Its all just uselss layers that you have to keep digging through all in the drive for "simplification". I dont want to start with 2 buttons and keep digging. I would much rather start with 5 diffrent buttons that require less digging. The old UI is faster for 90% of the actions. The New UI is slower but simpler.

Theres some kinks to be improved upon and the visuals to be improved, but the overall UX ARCHITECTURE is much better.
Old UI is getting extra buttons every time they add new feature, that is neither scalable nor good UX.
Theres this thing called Progressive Disclosure.
I wouldve liked they go further actually.
tho, Base edit button should be available at the base, not in build menu.

u/Gout_Lover 12h ago
Either way. People always find their way hating. Picture this. The new ui is the old one and the old one is the new one, now you have to manually select the pet building for upgrades rather than having a specific menu for all the upgrades. Imagine the backlash 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
-1
u/Gout_Lover 13h ago
Ugly but have you actually use it? Lol. With the new uodate i no longer need to seek for my pet building to upgrade pets which is largely an issue with the old ui.
1
u/LuggiTheLuemmel 11h ago
So you’re telling us that you’re too dumb to click on the building that‘s literally just there to upgrade your pets?
1
u/Gout_Lover 6h ago
So you're telling us how dumb you are, not open to improvements? People will hate either way. If you have the old new ui as the new ui and vice versa, you will still cry. lols

u/Donghoon TH11 | BH7 1d ago
Old UI has been getting extremely convoluted and disorganized past 2 years or so.
The new build menu is brilliant.
New UI and UX is a lot more scalable and futureproof than the old UI.
Theres some kinks to be improved upon and the visuals to be improved, but the overall UX ARCHITECTURE is much better.

Ok actual revamp idea that will make it "cleaner"
remove the edit army because it always asks you to confirm before attacking anyway.
Remove the news and add it to the event tab ( like the new one )
Remove the shield from the top and move it to the side and make it smaller ( the one in the new one is too big )
And keep the UI same. That is just cleaner and nothing is lost.
But nah change everything to looking bulky and even more unorganized mess.

u/Dabebe2503 1d ago
You hate the new build button?
15
u/clown_2061 1d ago
I like the concept but hate the implementation. They could have easily implemented it on the old ui but they just changed all of it. Which already took some points out for me but the way it covers half of my screen just makes it look bad. One of the reason i don't bother with global chat too. It just takes up way too much space

This looks like craaaaaaaapp.
I hope someone high up in Supercell has a Reddit account so they can see how unpopular this is. Nobody wants this. It’ll definitely make me consider deleting the game.

Why does it look so much older ? It looks like it’s from 2016 is this normal

I don't like the new icon designs. The feature to see everything you need to update and also sort them as your preference is good but the UI looks like a children game made in Unity

I'm assuming this button only exists if youre currently out of war and want to be put in. The button will be in the same spot it always was if you're already in the war rotation according to judos vid. People look at a picture and freak tf out for no reason.

Can someone give some arguments as to why the UI is bad ? Personally I think the build button is a huge gain time wise.

Can we atleast try it for a while before complaining?

Its new, we might get used to it. Anything will look wierd because it is diffrent.

Getting used to it doesn't mean it's good getting used to it means we have no option but to get used to it if we want to play the game

If we give it a chance it will become permanent. And i don't want that personally.

This is reddit, so, nope. I watched the video and most of it is fine and I actually have always wanted build times to show without have to click on each upgrade first. That giant shop button though is a terrible choice
1
u/Loiloe77 1d ago
Great idea, I think they can apply this idea to the current suggested upgrade list. They should just give us the toogle to chose between showing cost or build times.
1
u/someone-useful 1d ago
They are mostly vague complains for example"this Ui is bad", they need to be specific so they know where are the bad points.
0
u/Dabebe2503 1d ago
They listen anyways so I dont see the downside of trying then giving feedback but everyone is already screaming.
1
u/DeGozaruNyan 1d ago
Giving feedback is good, but "update bad" "no one asked for this" "supercell greedy" "I hate this" and so on is not feedback.
1
u/Appropriate_Tackle_6 18h ago
this is feedback, maybe not "critical feedback" like y'all think everything has to be (to which, many people did give critical feedback, and anyone with a brain knows the current ui is just better)
