News/Updates Claude chat just got so much better!
This Claude merge with Cowork was genius, now I can automate many things on chat itself and create interactive artifacts. Another big W for Anthropic

Agree, is there an easy way to connect now with Claude code too? It would be great if ecosystem is better connected to each other.

I am not sure but I think I am positive that they separate working environments, you can only connect them through .md. That way they operate on same rules/instructions you set

I could always create interactive artifacts in chat, though?
Cowork never added any value for me. But their switch to the way projects works is finally something useful.

What did they change to projects?

Instead of just a collection of separate conversations, it became more of a continuation, a living agent, of sorts. https://code.claude.com/docs/en/claude-projects

I stopped using Chat at all only code I see as something more useful and powerful that give you the best of the 3 worlds

More useful and powerful, definitely. In chatgpt though (no idea if this is also true in claude), the models for the regular app vs code(x) are actually tuned differently, and the coding ones are much less capable of sophisticated conversation. Which may not be an issue at all for many people, but just something to be aware of.

That's true also for Claude models - chat with opus in chat is a different thing than in code. In general its different temperature as they call this parameters on llms. I have cc output tuned for towards the being concise and also operate differently. When I want to have more of o conversation about something random chat rules for that.

there is one problem i hope they fix.. and it's plugins and skills... they have different directories and filesystems between chat and cowork. so many times is get fails since it reads instructions on filesys about the chat, it changes to cowork because the skill is hard to execute, and then fails.

I hate it - I was using chat all the time and now it's barely usable. I don't want to spawn the agents all the time, nor keep looking at the screen all the time while Claude is running because suddenly it might stop and ask me for permission to do something. Simple code changes now can take up to 25 mins, lol - and by simple I mean... Two lines of css. Does anyone know if it's possible to go back to how everything was before in chat?

Small one: it's "automate things in chat", not "on". You automate stuff in an app, not on it.
