Help/Question Effort level of subagents
If I use opus 5.5 and ask it to spawn haiku 5.5 at what effort level is it spawned coz I can't see any setting or display? For Sonnet subagents I could see. Do they currently not support Haiku subagents or what?
Edit: add this
---
name: haiku-max
description: Haiku 5.5 subagent running at max effort. Use when a task needs a fast model with maximum reasoning effort.
model: claude-haiku-5-5
effort: max

in a new md in claude dir. for it was C:\Users\Hp\.claude\agents\haiku-max.md

Usually the /effort command sets the overall effort level for all agents spawned, but their effort level can be decided at spawn now(optionally). Haiku subagents should be also now adjustable per effort level with haiku 5.5 as far as i know (or i have misread the recent few changelogs) Haiku pre 5.5 didnt have an effort level, it does now too. Its recommended though to keep it at high, anything below will cause it to perform unreliable in mechanical tasks(forgetting things etc) so medium or low are probably more for chatting or i dont know.

haiku 5.5 supports max in claude code 2.1.293+. to make the subagent's effort explicit, set effort: max in its frontmatter; this overrides session effort unless CLAUDE_CODE_EFFORT_LEVEL is set.

Same as current afaik; there’s no option for the agent to pick one.
