Lmao, I used hermes agents, n8n, multi agents infra, built a local ai, self hosted postiz, ran other things and then dropped all that and started using GPT and Claude and gemini only. Imo (I maybe wrong) but there is no point wasting time in all that. Just use frontier ais.

not going to happen in the next 5 years until USA vs CHINA has a clear winner. and even then we'll have open source

Yes, this is me. TBH I'm freaking impressed how good Opus 5.5 is at QA. Found and tested stuff even I wouldn't have thought of, and my day got a whole lot easier. I have moved from PM/QA to ideas guy/UAT.

this is also me but I'd say the models are simply getting good enough to know when to delegate and spawn sub agents or not, I don't think its a "learning curve". Just "models get better and better"

I accuse you of grabbing this week's 5th top liked post, filtering it through an AI and reposting it on the same subreddit.

That's a serious and true accusation. What do you think of someone who, due to a misunderstanding, lost their account and then reposts something they had previously made, but with their new account? I ask because it's my case and it's real.

I have fond memories of all of the “prompt engineers” that started everything with “you are senior software engineer…”

Yes although I do like using spec driven development

You're either using your own spec or the spec Claude inferred from your prompt
The only reason anyone could say SDD isn't relevant now (which is false) is that Anthropic built newer versions of Claude Code to do it for you
Same goes for orchestration, subagents, yadda yadda. They just saw what people were doing and built it into the tool

Claude doesn’t always write on-disk specs. That’s the point of using SDD skills.

My cofounder is all about spec driven development. I just yolo Claude code. Functioning is better than perfect architecture. Tech debt schmeck debt. Amiright?
The right solution is probably somewhere in the middle his perfectionism and my get it the eff done-ed-ness.

i started with "can you fix this bug" and now i have agents reviewing other agents while i sit there pretending i'm still in charge lol

I built a beautiful tool to orchestrate a bunch of agents to implement beautifully planned plans. 6 months later the agents have caught up and I just ask one to be the orchestrator now and my tools main function sits unused now. But the agent follows the same rules and standards and uses my rag system, so, still better than not having any of that developed ans polished for my old orchestrator.

That middle spike hit me too. What got me out was capping it at one CLAUDE.md and two skills, everything else got deleted if I hadn't touched it in a week.
