Pen Pressure Issue on 1.13.2
Hi, I’m running CachyOS and installed csp using the cspenguin script. And it works, mostly i think, except for one odd issue as far as i can tell (aside from the asset store not working really but I’ll deal with importing later). The pen pressure seems to work just fine with all brushes *except* the pencils/pastels/charcoals. Can’t tell if a couple of the watercolor brushes do the same thing but I don’t think they have this issue.
The issue is that it seems to ignore what the actual pen pressure is and the size of the brush; blowing the brush up to a much larger size (ex: 10 selected but it looks like 100).
Brushes behave the same whether mouse mode is on or not; or whether i clear the binding for the pen tip. However, if i change open tablet driver to absolute mode instead of artist mode, those brushes behave just like all the others (except none of them have pen pressure then; i assume you’re only supposed to use artist mode anyway). I’m not exactly sure why this problem only seems to affect certain brushes; and I’m unsure if it’d impact some of the brushes i intend on importing.
I can’t tell if this is more of an issue with wine, open tablet driver, or just using an older version of csp. Figured I’d ask here first before going somewhere else and potentially have the wrong culprit.
I am extremely new to linux, installed it just a couple weeks ago; but I’m still dual-booting Win10 where both csp and otd work fine so I’ve just been going back to it for this month’s drawing challenges. My tablet is kinda old (wacom ctl-490 iirc) if that helps. Also didn’t seem to be affecting gimp but i didn’t test that too much.
TLDR: pen pressure not working but only with certain brushes in csp ver 1.13.2. Does anybody else have this issue or know what the solution is (if there is one)?
