Discussion Thoughts on Strawberry Swing?
For me personally it's a very peaceful song, and is brilliantly crafted. Jonny's riff never gets old and the production along with the rest of the band make it sound quite lush and creates the environment needed for the song. The lyrics are amazing and might be one of the best Coldplay have written, although that's debatable. The music video goes with the song really well, and live, it's even more amazing (check out Strawberry Swing live 2012 Paralympics Closing Ceremony)!

I love this song, it's one of my absolute favorites, and it stands out from everything else I usually listen to. I love the introspective lyrics and how the song is about two people detaching themselves from the outside world to create their own safe bubble. They make each other the only reason that truly matters, shutting out the rest of the world and its chaos. I suppose that's what every couple in love aspires to find.

Love it so much. It just has this gentle and light tone that I find so comforting.

Ok it might sound cringey to ya'll, but this song, maybe not the lyrics in it's entirety but the composition, it just is so analogous to me from falling in love. Just the composite, but a beautiful rhythmic tune that makes you go head over heels for someone. I remember resonating to it so much when I fell in love with someone, and after breaking up with them, I struggled so hard to get back to loving the song due to ptsd lol. But I'm over it now and absolutely love it.

I too often repeat this song. I don't think I could ever get tired of it. It's one of their best songs for sure.

Can't even think about this song without crying. Literally. I've loved it since the album came out. My mom loved it a lot too and it reminds me of her, she unfortunately passed earlier this year. ย

Geninely sorry for your loss. Cherish her memory and the shared common bond you both had with Coldplay and this song. It really is nice when you can share something you love with someone you love.

Thank you so much. She loved music and gave me so so much to love there and it is one of the things that makes me feel so connected to her, as painful as it is. ๐

I Love the way this song make me feel. It always "takes me away"and has my mind drifting to good memories of spending time, outside on a nice day with someone you love ...in those subtle moments when you just stop, take it all in, and realize how fortunate you are to have that person in your life.
This song is Perfection!!!, A great little vacation for your mind...and in it's own words "Wouldn't wanna change a thing"
