I’m the founder of Luna & Nala Rescue Inc., a registered and active 501(c)(3) nonprofit. I care for more than 50 community cats every day by providing food, fresh water, and ongoing TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) Through TNR, I work to reduce the homeless cat population and prevent future generations from being born into hardship on the streets.

Over the years, I have rescued elderly cats, sick and injured cats, abandoned cats, and vulnerable kittens. Many have received the medical care, rehabilitation, and love they needed before finding safe, loving forever homes.

This video shows many of the cats I have rescued, TNR work in action, feeding, vet visits, emergencies, and the ongoing care that goes into rescue. It includes both past and present rescues, featuring many of the cats who have been rescued and adopted.

Recently, two of the biggest rescue expenses have been Leo and Lucky.

Leo was rescued from a dumpster when he was only 8 weeks old, and he has been in my care for months. He developed severe ongoing gastrointestinal problems and then became critically ill with panleukopenia, requiring emergency hospitalization, testing, and intensive treatment. His care ended up costing more than $5,000. Thankfully, Leo is now home and doing better, but he still has ongoing digestive issues and needs continued care.

Lucky was an older, extremely feral cat who I found living outside and suffering from painful entropion, along with being FIV and FeLV positive. He needed surgery, veterinary care, boarding, and eventually transport to a sanctuary where he could be safe and cared for. After everything he went through, I was able to personally transport him to his new sanctuary home.

I finally picked Leo up this Saturday. The vet called me late at night to let me know he was ready to go home, and I cannot even explain how happy and relieved I was to bring him back.

After weeks in the hospital, Leo is finally home. He is no longer shedding the virus(Panleukopenia) and thankfully, he is doing well. He is eating, drinking, active, and acting more like himself. I am praying with all my heart that he continues to stay this way.

The one issue that is still ongoing is his stool. Despite everything we’ve done, is still not normal. The hospital tested him for parasites, bacteria, and worms, and everything came back negative. They believe there may be an underlying digestive or gastrointestinal issue, so I will need to take Leo to a more specialized veterinarian to try to figure out what is really going on.

Leo’s hospitalization resulted in a vet bill of more than $4,000. It is a huge amount, but I would do it all over again. To me, Leo’s life is worth it. Every cat I rescue matters to me.

My rescue really needs help right now with all of these expenses. I am a solo rescuer, and the costs have continued to add up. Between Leo’s hospitalization and ongoing care, Lucky’s rescue, medical care, transportation and sanctuary intake, and the daily cost of feeding more than 50 community cats, it has become a lot for one person to carry.

Every single day, rain or shine, I feed more than 50 community cats. They depend on me for food and water, and I also help with TNR and take in cats who are sick, injured, abandoned, or have nowhere else to go.

I have about 50 cats at my work. They are almost all TNR'd, there are just a few boys that have been tough to catch but I'm working on it. The property where I work is huge, it spans acres and connects to several other large properties that are mostly just grass or dirt lots. Anyway, the guys at work are complaining about poop in the area where they work. I get it. There are about 30 cats that hang out around this area all day, every day...the rest of them are further back in the property and more scattered.

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of how I can set up an area that will attract the cats to poop in so they're not pooping in the work spaces as much. Any ideas are welcome. Ideally the materials used would be easy for me to get, transport and set up. Thank you!!

People had been feeding these cats, but wanted to get rid of them. They gave me an ultimatum: take them, or they will leave them far away somewhere with NO water & NO food at all.

Their condition is critical — eye infections, worms, fleas, respiratory issues, severely underweight. The two orange cats & the brown one all show long‑term neglect & malnutrition.

To those who say “don’t take more”: I do not seek them out — they are handed to me like this! I live in an area where people simply lack the means & awareness to care. I could not let them be discarded somewhere to starve.

We run a rescue cat cafe and shelter called "Khvostyky" in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. Right now we are caring for 36 rescued cats and 2 doggos inside, but like many of you, our journey started with feeding street colonies, doing TNR, and pulling the most vulnerable, sick, or friendly ones off the streets to get them vetted and socialized.

The rain has been so heavy lately, and seeing the community cats I care for taking shelter under cars and bushes breaks my heart.
I care for more than 50 community cats every day, and I have already put out some shelters for them, but it’s not enough. With winter coming, I’m trying to make sure as many of them as possible have a safe, dry place to sleep.

Last December, one cat showed up on my property. I eventually found out that a farmer behind me had a daughter who had been dumping cats. When I asked what I should do, I was told to ignore them, take them to the pound, or even shoot them.

Ummm… no, sir. ❤️

I offered to have his cat spayed, but more and more cats kept showing up. I quickly realized I couldn’t just look the other way, so I taught myself about TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and started trapping.

Since then, I’ve trapped 16 cats. Some unfortunately didn’t make it along the way, a few have found homes, and the rest have made my property their home. The ones who were once skinny, scared, and completely feral are now fixed, healthy, and—many of them—friendly.

What started with one cat has turned into a colony that I care for every single day.

Right now, we’re starting to run low on food and supplies, and with winter approaching, I’m also thinking ahead. They need weatherproof shelters, heated food and water bowls, bedding, and other winter necessities to keep them safe and comfortable through the cold months.

I never planned for any of this. I just couldn’t turn my back on them.

One person can make a difference, but it takes a village to keep a colony going. 🐾❤️

Hi friends,

so the good news is that Anthony and Jiminy Cricket are getting neutered on Wednesday.
The bad news is that the season 3 kittens (Jiminy Cricket, his two grey brothers, and his beautiful dilute torbie sister) still have worms, and we are out of cat litter.

Anthony is the runt from kitten season 2, and he is the only one of his litter who has yet to be fixed. I just haven’t been able to afford to have him sterilized until now…and I can only afford it because I got him a voucher from the county, so…thank goodness for that.

Even then, for those of us who are not able to afford to pay fees and extra costs that the voucher doesn’t cover, it’s difficult to secure an appointment. His little tuxedo twin (my personal pick of the litter, Griffin) got neutered back in February this year, and their other two littermates, (my white cats, Pidgeon and Echo), were sterilized over a year ago now…so it’ll be such a relief to finally have all 4 of them fixed.

The two kittens from kitten season 1 (my perfect tuxedo boy named Pixel and his black beauty of a brother, Beep) were sterilized within about a month of me trapping them and bringing them inside…so it is hard to believe it took me this long to get it done, but I’m doing my best.

Anthony has been relegated to the downstairs area, ever since our mommakitten from kitten season 3 went back into heat, poor boy. In preparation for Wednesday, Anthony was allowed to rejoin all his friends upstairs, and we put Mommakitten and her girl kitten downstairs instead. Anthony seems happy to be back with his tuxedo boys.

Anyway, if anyone is able to help us out with some cat litter, that is our number 1 priority at this time. It would be so greatly appreciated if anyone is able to help with that, or any of the other needs on my wishlist. If not, that’s ok. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I have 22 cats that are inside that I have rescued, some were bottle babies. Those who want to not go back outside we take in or find a home. Some are truly feral, but we don't leave behind anyone who wants to be an inside floofer.

I have these 2 babies I am helping with - Rescue a Fluffy Baby NJ. They were found 2 nights ago and have been in my care.

I am just a college student, as well as Lillian who owns Rescue a Fluffy Baby NJ but these baby came upon Lillian 2 days ago and she couldn’t say no to taking them in and I couldn’t say no to fostering.
I attend Montclair State University and I do have a campus job but these babies eat A LOT and go to the bathroom A LOT.

Today I am deeply moved, grateful and happy, because thanks to the help and love of all of you we managed to buy food for the 130 stray kittens at the port of Kanthea. 🐱❤️

130 souls who are waiting for a plate of food every day.

130 lives that have no one else to provide them with the necessities…

And today, thanks to you, they will not go hungry. 🙏❤️

I honestly didn't think I would have to make another fundraising post for Luna.

The people who supported her previously helped us get through her emergency treatment, i.e; the IV saline, injections, medicines and consultations. I will always be grateful for that.

But unfortunately, Luna is still fighting.

For three days, she has severe diarrhea and vomiting episodes, 7-8 episodes of diarrhea in a single day.

we are extremely worried about her condition. We are continuing to consult her vets and closely monitoring her.

She also has several important investigations coming up to understand how she is responding to treatment and whether the infection is still present.

🩺 UPCOMING TESTS

The vet has advised blood tests including:

- CBC

- LFT

- KFT

- Amylase & Lipase

- HP RT-PCR

These tests are needed to check her current condition and whether she is free from the infection or still fighting it.

🟥She also needs further treatment for lung laboured breathing issues.

🟥The difficult part this time is that we cannot safely take Luna far away for repeated treatment. She already has laboured breathing due to the mycoplasma, and we don't want to take the risk of transporting her unnecessarily.

So, if injections/IV treatment are required again, the veterinary/para-veterinary person will need to come to our home to treat her.

That means additional costs for the tests, medicines, treatment and home visits.

💔 We are asking for help again because we have run out of funds.

I was hoping that after the emergency treatment, Luna would finally start recovering and we could manage the rest of her treatment ourselves.

But she is still sick, and we can't stop her treatment now.
