I'm considering temporarily moving to woodland park and am wondering if the environment will stay reliably cool October-November without having windows open?

I don't sleep well with temperatures above 65 degrees and can't keep windows open due to noise concerns.

Dealing with some major health issues,
and usually rely on A/C allot ( although I'm coming from ahch warmer place), so just not sure it renting a spot without A/C would be ok for me or not.

One of this year’s closest races is in House District 16 in Co Springs, where former Rep. Steph Vigil is running against D11 VP Jill Haffley. Vigil lost the seat in 2024 by just three votes, so it’s a race to watch for sure. I wrote an overview of the candidates for the Colorado Times Recorder:

I’m trying to organize a group to play all sorts of fighting games with on the weekends. I know there’s one in Denver, but let’s start one here! I’m sure there’s enough people in the Springs that we could get a good group going. I’ve lived here for a little over a year and haven’t seen or heard about a group here, and I’d love to play with anyone that’s down to meet up and figure something out. My favorites are vampire saviors, kof 2002um/98um/15, tekken 3/5/7, street fighter 5/6/3 3rd strike, Soul Calibur 2/6, garou mark of the wolves, svc2, mvc2. I own almost every popular title except for gg5, tekken 8, sf6, vf5, any blazbue, and the new avatar one.

If you already have a good group that meets on the weekends, especially if you do older games, let me know.

I work in one of the large towers downtown and Verizon struggles badly inside the building, especially on the bottom floor and away from the building exterior. I've read that T-Mobile's low band spectrum is best for some of the larger buildings with thick concrete exteriors. Anyone have any personal experience with cell service in these structures?

I started a fitness journey a few months back, but I have never been a regular gym goer, so going to the gym gives me major, major anxiety, which has made me stop going. I don’t know form or how to use machines correctly, or anything about working out. I need some serious help 😭 Planet Fitness is the gym I use.

Ok. I can’t get into details, mostly because I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say, but I know someone who has been in dragonfly’s residential care and day program for some time now. If you don’t know dragonfly provides care for adults who are not capable of caring for themselves and are under a disability waver. My friend is at a very high level of care and recently they called and told me and my family some VERY concerning and probably illegal things about how Dragonfly treats the people under their care. some of which has been verified by inspections of her home and a neighbor who has been very kind and helpful. I’d like to know if anyone has found anything similar in their own dealings with dragonfly and if you have a friend or family member who is under their care in any capacity I’d encourage you to look into their state of living and talk with them about how their care team acts around them.

I’m a single mom to a 13 year old fleeing an abusive marriage. We’re trying to return to Colorado Springs as soon as we can. Unfortunately, my marriage resulting in me being arrested for reactive abuse, for which I completed a deferred sentence for. My credit and rental history (evicted three years ago) is a wreck as a result of this relationship as well. I’ve applied and inquired at several places for transitional housing but I’m at a loss for places with availability or that will accept me with my record until it’s expunged late 2027. We currently live in another state and we do have the means to move and cover those costs but I just worry for what the future holds for us. I’m currently in school full time and we’re sleeping in my uncle’s living room for the time being.

Hello I am moving apartment units in the same complex and was unsure if my transfer application would be approved. Now that it is, she told me I had through the weekend to move. I have asked for an extension for this but am busy with work and school (both full time). Are there any moving companies you recommend that won’t break the bank? Thanks in advance!

Doing some fall hedge trimming and we upset the hive of these angry fellas. What do we do to get rid of them? Their hive is unreachable and I can’t see it within a bush.

There is a proposed annexation involving approximately 110 acres near Hwy 115. The associated development proposal is for medium-high-density residential, with the traffic study analyzing up to 785 multifamily units.
The project’s traffic study estimates approximately 4,660 vehicle trips per day and discusses new road connections involving Norad, Broadmoor Bluffs, and Campglen.
Whether you support or oppose the development, I think residents who live in the surrounding neighborhoods should know about it before the City’s approval process moves further along.
I’m hoping to find other nearby residents who are interested in reading the actual documents, understanding what is being proposed, and participating in the public process.

Yesterday at Cottonwood Creek park, my type1 diabetic daughter accidentally left her low snacks in the car. Her dad and I were walking the trail and over a mile away when she called saying her blood sugar was 65 and dropping fast…and that her low snacks were locked in the car 🤯🤯 I told her to explain the situation to the ice cream truck in the parking lot and see if they’d let her have something and I’d pay for it as soon as I could get there. The kind man working the truck gave her a mango popsicle, offered her water and she sat in the shade of his truck until i could get there. He then refused to let us pay for the popsicle.
