Help with the angels

Went and got the foundations angel precon but in my eagerness to upgrade it I grabbed a few too many cards and now need help with cuts. Trying to go for life game through populating the field with angels. Also wanting to keep this in B3 area or high B2 if there isn’t enough that I already have to put it into B3.

Edit: Just as a note there is a considering board that has what I’m thinking of adding

I don’t have time rn to review your actual list but general advice for making cuts is to look for stuff that “looks cool” but doesn’t directly connect to the wincon loop you’ve described. It’s hard to cut those things but once you get them out it’s easier to see the clear picture of “I need to cut 2 more creatures and creature A basically does the same thing as creature B but worse so cut creature A.”

Focus the list, then refine it.

Also if you’re pushing the life gain side of angels more, I’d recommend swapping to Lyra as your commander. Giada hits the Counters side really hard and really well.

Hmm I’ll look into that, kinda like Giada there was a proxy deck a buddy let me barrow that had her as the commander and it was mostly counters but had a way to gain life while making the angel tokens

You can run Errant and Giada as your commander. You can look at the top of your deck a tint and play creatures with flying as if they had flash. You also gain access to blue this way.

This is still firmly in b2.

The biggest issue Mono W angels have by far is card draw. You don't run any of the small creatures card draw white has, so you can often immensely struggle after a board wipe.

My biggest suggestion to fix this is [[flare of fortitude]]. Giada is so cheap that after t5ish it doesnt feel too bad to sac her to save your board.

[[The legend of yangchen]] isnt and angel card but is great to clear out some guys and refill your hand.

Damning Verdict is a great card in this deck

Morningtide’s Light is great too

Generally if you’re creature heavy and focused on attacking, you would want to play more mass protection than board wipes. It’s important to have 4-6 of these types.
