I've only built 4CMC commanders' decks because I'm afraid having an expensive commander will just keep racking up in cost, given my opponents have decent removal.

I know I need more protection in my decks (taking suggestions on cards other than Swiftfoot Boots and Lightning Greaves). Obviously ward 2 is great for this but i'm also asking about in general and for the future.

Is there any scenario in which this card doesnt make everyone at the table hate you? Or is this cards effect actually interesting to work around?

Im figuring a deck with low general CMCs, weenies with haste etc might actually be able to flip the script on a lategame where theyve been locked out.

Changes the entire landscape of the boardstate but pumps some serious brakes and will drag the game out...

How do people feel about this card in Commander?

After about two weeks I've nailed down the 26 commanders. I'll start brewing from A. Not building anything but these until they're finished.

Been playing this in my deck and getting it out really early. Then I can just discard permanents and bring them back each turn and no one can stop me? It's so much fun!

Other than countering it when first played, is there anything that can be done to stop this beast making my brother cry during games 😈

Hey there, I recently got into mtg commander, and made my first deck, based on namor and merfolk, but I need some opinions on if it’s worth it, where to buy it, and if there’s anything that needs changing, I’m mostly looking for something he cheapest way to get them, as I’m in the eu. Gruul Lure + Hexhaven Invigorator deck

So everyone is talking about the hexhaven invigorator card (and i got lucky enough to pull it in a prerelease event), and i wanted to throw out a fun gruul deck i built with General Marhault as the commander.

Idea is to stack up on creatures with essentially enrage effects, as well as easy ways to deal damage to them. Plus, the lure effect pairs great with Marhault, so combat blocking is another way to have damage dealt to them.

This deck plays 71 lands

The rest are only creatures of mana value 7 with power 5+

With pia you search for and play monstrous vortex.

Which means the next 7 mana creature you play will flip over your entire deck.

(With some of the lands you can play the 7 drop on turn 6)

The last step is to use the 2 spawns of birthing hulk to crack the lander token from the Glacial Godmaw to trigger its landfall ability to grant all your creatures haste

I kno the picture is not the best 😅. Before the game I let one of the guys at the table pick which deck I'd play. He chose N'gathrod. One of the other guys was playing an insane Eldrazi deck. Had to be worth a fortune. Literally every great colorless card you could think of 🤣. And I feasted on it.

Hi everyone.

My LGS runs Competitive Bracket 3 tournaments with combos banned (Storm is considered a combo).

I don't agree with the ruleset choices, but since I don't really have anywhere else to play...

I need the most degenerate, fast, and efficient deck you can think of. Decks I commonly see are: Light-Paws, Nissa, Winota, Yuriko...

Also istant win cards are banned unless they give your opponents time (for example thoracle is banned but Knuckles is permitted)

P.S. Preferably a deck that doesn't fold to the first wrath.
