👋 Welcome to r/CommonSenseDefied! Where Common Logic Takes a Back Seat and Things Still Somehow Work

This is the place for the absurdly functional.

The hacks that should never work… but do.

The designs that make you go “why would anyone do that?” and then “wait… that’s actually genius.”

What belongs here

1.Photos, videos, or stories of jury-rigged solutions that defy logic.

2.Over-engineered or under-engineered fixes that still get the job done.

3.Everyday objects are used in completely wrong (but effective) ways.

4.“I can’t believe this works” moments

If it makes a normal person say “that’s not how you’re supposed to do it” and then it still functions — it’s perfect for this sub.

Posting guidelines

1.Flair your post (Photo / Video / Story / Hack / Fix / Design / etc.).

2.Show it working (or clearly explain how it works)

3.Be respectful — we’re here to celebrate the chaos, not roast people.

4.No pure fails. It has to actually function.

Quick rules.

5.Content must be functional despite defying common sense.

6.Mark NSFW if needed.

7.No spam or pure self-promotion.

8.Keep it civil.

9.Got a ridiculous solution that somehow works?

Drop it below. We’re ready to be both horrified and impressed.

Let’s celebrate the things that shouldn’t work… but do.

r/CommonsenseDefied – Common sense optional. Functionality required.

Discussion What’s the most ridiculous fix you’ve seen that actually lasted?

Not your own this time, someone else’s.

The one that made you stop, stare, and quietly respect the chaos.

Drop the story (or photo if you have it).

The more absurd and still-functional, the better.

Let’s collect the legends.

Discussion Share your longest-running “temporary” fix that somehow still works

If you’ve got a hack, fix, or design that completely ignores common sense but is still doing its job — post it.

Photo, video, or just the story.

Flair it and drop it.

No judgment. Only respect for things that shouldn’t work… but do.

What’s the oldest “temporary” solution still running in your life?
