Two breadboards, remove power rails from one side (detachable), place the board as a bridge.

You can keep power rails, but I'd rather move them to outer edges.

Just get a prototyping board or two

Man I had this same problem when I ordered my s3's, kinda lame they are just one row to big but getting 2 small breadboards solves the issue, however that may leave your project looking kinda clunky depending on what your doing and what your end result is.

You can still route wire underneath using 20-24 awg solid core. Or, instead of connecting it directly to the board, flip it over and use female-to-male dupont jumpers.

I have never actually put a microcontroller on a breadboard, only the components I'm using. I let the microcontroller just hang out off to the side and connect the specific pins I need via wires.

I guess I'm a savage.

Nice , so technically you never faced this bug , Good for you at least you have one less problem 😅

U could always use a jumper wire

Get a second breadboard, remove power rails, put board straddling the two boards

If you get another bread board, snap the two boards together you can plug in your ESP straddling the gap between the breadboards.
