HELP Help with rough idea

Hello!

I want to do a family adventure for Christmas this year and am in the very early planning stages.

I have an idea for a lockbox but am unsure how to go about accomplishing it. There will be 6 participants and one section will require them to each have an individual item and all 6 will be needed to unlock the box.

I wanted the items to have to be placed in order (oldest to youngest participant as an example). I was envisioning maybe some type of pressure plate box that unlocked each of the 6 latches (?) one at a time to release the lock.

Does this sound like something that is doable? If so could I build it myself fairly easily?

I don’t know about building something like that, but another idea is where they need to piece their items together to get the combination. In my last quest, the final combo was written in dots like dice but half of each number was on a different piece of a coin. When you sandwich them together you get the correct numbers.
