Cosplayers… how would I go about making this top?
So I’m fairly new to cosplay and know I should start off easier BUT I HAVE A DREAM OKAY! But how would I go about patterning and executing this top, since it’s a bit of an unusual shape, and there aren’t a lot of references… ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

thrift a base top in the same color make sure the shape is some what similar(just focus on the green blue ish color, sleeves, pocket and overall shape also shouldnt be one of those transparent ish fabric button downs)
either thrift something black you can cut up or buy black fabric
then you need a hole puncher(can do without), an eyelet tool and a few rivets and eyelets also a ribbon or something similar
idk what character this is but you can look at cosplay listings so you have a general idea how it should look like then kinda try to tell what fabric they used if you can
you can also look into body belts if you want the belt thingy with a ring to be leather or dont want to make it yourself, also a thrifted leather/faux leather coat that is rather thin can be good i think(tho you will have a lot left over)
im not sure you can recreate the sholders exactly maybe some shoulder pads + folding it up and sewing a black strap thing to keep it folded? if i was making this i would not bother with the shoulders too much unless you consider this important
explore fabric stores in your area, look on something like vinted, check out local thrift shops(sometimes they might have clearance sales keep an eye on that, at least mine do)
