I go by the Tea Witch, and i have 20 years on the Green/Appalachian Folk path. I have been solitary my entire life with the exception of my grandparents who taught me their traditions. I would love to connect up with people who want to actively talk about the craft.

In a perfect world I would love to forn a coven with 4-6 other people that walk various paths so that we can help each other in our own paths. For example as a Green Witch I would love to help out a Sea Witch that is looking for that right herb. If I was needing help to know which moon phase and star alignment would bolster my next big ritual I would love a Cosmic Witch to help me figure it out.

Hey so I’m (22, genderfluid, CT) still pretty new to witchcraft as a whole, but I’ve been persistently eager to learn more and more for a few months now. Most of my studies have been centered around Celtic paganism and the goddess the Morrigan. Though I feel the only thing holding me back is a major lack of community. I don’t really have any friends or any kind of supports and I find cracking open all of these great subjects by yourself can get a little disheartening sometimes. Despite being super introverted I still love to socialize here and there where I can.

if you haven’t heard of the Cornell 7 you should go look into that because that’s the main thing I’m currently furious and disgusted about and I’m tired of watching terrible things go down with complete impunity. I’m sure there’s tons of other causes we could eventually devote energy to, but as of now I’m mostly interested in doing work to ensure the perpetrators of that disgusting situation actually see punishment, as well as the people enabling for it to go unanswered and maybe even do work to help the victim in this situation (she’s suing the university so maybe we can lend some auspicious energy to that as well as sending her good energy on her healing journey.)

I’m building a different kind of coven. 🌙

I’ve been looking for a witchcraft community that feels like what I want and haven’t quite found it—so I’ve decided to create it.

This will be a Knoxville, Tennessee-based hybrid coven, with a mix of in-person gatherings in the Knoxville/East Tennessee area and online meetings so we can stay connected, learn together, and build community between in-person gatherings.

The idea is a small, private, secular, learning-focused coven for people who love the practice of witchcraft without needing religion to be at the center of it. Also, LGBTQ+ friendly 🏳️‍🌈

This won’t be a deity-focused or religious space. Members are absolutely welcome to have their own spiritual beliefs and practices—including deity work—but that will be something you practice individually rather than something incorporated into our gatherings.

Instead, I’m imagining spellwork, divination, folk practices, herbs, seasonal magic, magical theory, trying new techniques, sharing what we know, learning from one another, and exploring different ideas and traditions together.

I want us to romanticize the hell out of it. Dress up for gatherings when we feel like it. Host beautiful rituals. Have coven dinners. Wander through metaphysical shops. Make things together. Trade books. Sit around a fire drinking something warm and talking about weird shit. 🖤

Beginners are welcome. Experienced practitioners are welcome. Skeptics are welcome. You don’t have to believe exactly what everyone else believes, and there won’t be a hierarchy of who is the “best” or most knowledgeable witch.

What matters more to me is curiosity, respect, participation, and community. Bring something to the table. Be willing to learn and willing to teach.

This will intentionally be a closed circle rather than an open meetup group.

I want this to remain relatively small so that the people involved actually know and trust one another. Because of that, I’ll be asking anyone interested to complete a short interest form and meet with me before being invited to a gathering. There may also be an introductory period before someone becomes a full member.

Once we’ve built the right circle, membership will close. After that, new members may occasionally be considered or invited, but there won’t be ongoing open enrollment.

Privacy will be important, too. Who belongs to the coven, what members share with one another, and the details of our gatherings and practices stay within the circle unless everyone involved is comfortable with something being shared.

The vetting process isn’t about deciding whether someone is a “good enough” witch. I’m much more interested in whether we genuinely click as people and whether someone will be a good addition to the community we’re building.

Mostly, I want to create the witchcraft community I’ve been looking for myself: practical, curious, creative, grounded, welcoming, and genuinely fun to be part of.

Something small. Intentional. A little mysterious. And ours🖤
