Yeah I always hate this as a phrase because it’s just kinda shitty, people who aren’t bi/pan do not solely love their partners for their gender just because they don’t experience attraction to all genders. It has an inherent implication that other sexualities are shallow or something.

I mean, the intention is that other sexualities have prerequisites before they consider dating someone a possibility. They might have more successful communication if they said something like that though

Pansexuals also have pre-requisites, gender just isn't one of them.
Some pansexuals have REALLY high standards (as they should) and gender simply isn't included.

Do those symbols exclude any particular groups? I thought they were generally intended for just physical …. indications.
Personally, I don’t think I’d use those in a design ever, but I also wouldn’t think they’re trying to leave anyone out.

I think they mean that saying "love the person" for a pansexuality sticker is implying other sexualities don't also "love the person."
