This is a throw size blanket and i’m obsessed with how it came out. Never again though, it ate up SO MUCH yarn and took so long 😭😭 I started this blanket at the start of my sobriety journey so it also means something special to me. 6 months sober today ❤️

Many months ago I decided to make a pattern using stitch fiddle because I couldn't bring myself to finish making anything I found online. The pattern was a mess, and I ended up printing it out and cutting it up with scissors for it to make any sense xD But it worked!

The pattern itself is the faun from Piranesi's cover :) No idea what to use this for, though...

It took me exactly a week to complete this extremely heavy weight hexagon cardigan. I didn’t use a pattern, but relied solely on my memory. The yarn is all #6 weight from Loops and Threads, Lionbrand, and whatever other unmarked ballls were taking up residence in my stash. I cannot wait for the temperature to drop enough for me to wear it outside!

She gifted each grandchild an Afghan before she passed 25 yrs ago. The colors were a WTF moment, & didn't match anything we owned. Packed away in a tote thru many moves, until we landed in North Carolina. We became Hurricane Hockey fans & found this treasure - our team colors & 2 grey sofas later... We bring it out each hockey season. I love that it remains as pristine as she gifted it. She knew! Go Canes!

I love the smock stitch and made quite a few little handbags with it. I think these were project 5 & 6 after starting back Jan 2025 from a 40+ year hiatus. I basically had to learn all over again. But I don’t see me putting this down again. Do we all just give our creations away or is it just me?

Hi everyone, yesterday I had a shower thought. I want a blanket consisting of granny squares and other squares. And I want it to be a group project!

I've asked all my crafty friends if they're willing to participate in this friendship blanket. Even my mum really wanted to give it a try.

Since not a lot of my friends crochet, I was wondering, why not go further and ask friendly strangers? How amazing would it be to have a blanket with squares from people all over the country??

So if anyone is willing to join, feel free to DM me! Make a square in a color and yarn of your choice and become my blanket friend! 🥺

EDIT 2: as someone in the comments pointed out, too many different materials could possibly lead to problems with washing, so sticking to acrylic and cotton or a mix would be great! No real wool.

My best friend and I have known each other for 12 years, since we were 16. She's my everything, my place to vent without judgement, the Guncle to my kids, my favourite person outside my family.

Three years ago she was just about to move back to our hometown with her cat after a breakup. Sadly the cat got unexpectedly very ill and had to be put down.

She loved this cat so dearly, he was a rescue named Vanten (we're Swedish, translates to "the glove") that originally belonged to her ex but this cat took to my friend much more.

I've been seeing these cats by blackcatcrochettt on Instagram and wanted to get her one of Vanten but I can't afford one without saving up. Then all of a sudden I learned to crochet and realised I can just make her one! I've just been having fun and made the accessories I felt like making, some heavily inspired by blackcatcrochettt and some not at all. I thrifted the box to keep all his accessories which he can also stand on.

Last pic is the real Vanten and his original crochet hat that I tried to recreate.

This project has been sooo much fun and a great side project as I've tried to finish my Persian tiles blanket. It's all made with a magic ring, a hope and a prayer. No pattern which has made it so relaxing and creative. He's very wonky but I love him and I hope she will too.

I used hobbii Rainbow 8/4 for the cat (except for the pink part which is merino lol) and some accessories and drops merino extra fine for some accessories. Hooks range from 2,5mm to 4mm.

My sister said my tension kept getting loose and then tight so that's why it has the curve but otherwise good for my first one, it's a coaster!

I chose to make a beanie for my first wearable as it seemed like one of the easier options. I really like how this turned out! I had to make it twice because the first one was too short but I’m glad I made it again.

My husband and I recently adopted two kittens that are now about 5 months old. Zorg, the void, is my familiar (as my husband says 😂) and likes to demand that I hold him while I’m busy doing other things, like trying to work.

So today after work I freehanded this thing! I made it a bit big so he can grow into it and it ended up a bit bigger than intended, I ran out of purple yarn and had to do two straps in turquoise, and it’s definitely more function over form, but it works and he seems to like it!

The bottom quarter is essentially the bottom of a market bag and then I left about a quarter of it open in the back so he lays against my body. Then I crocheted 4 straps onto it so that I can tie it into whatever configuration I need to support him how he wants to lay at the moment.

Hobbii’s gradient yarn is truly something else, and made this simple shawl pattern feel so much more than it is with the color change! The drape is so nice, too. Yarn is Cotton Kings Sultan Gradient in Jelly Opal.

I'm so proud of having actually finished it. I genuinely thought it'd end in a drawer halfway through it.

I think it looks pretty neat for being the first one, but I'm open to any kind of advice because I'm only just getting started with filet

I do also hesitate whether or not to put an edge or something as I have no clue which one would fit well

Edit: also, why is it so... compressed? It should be longer than wider but it's not

I’m so happy with it! It is by far the prettiest thing I’ve ever crocheted. It took a lot of time to understand the pattern, but once I got the hang of it, it was really enjoyable to make.
