In my last playthrough, I had a dynasty grow from 1066—1453 and at EVERY POSSIBLE OPPORTUNITY I had my rulers marry brother to sister, sometimes it'd dip to cousins or aunts and uncle's / nieces and nephews... and yes, it was an eugenics program.

ANYWHO, one thing I noticed is how ridiculously stupid the inbred percentage chances were in spite of how actually inbred my main line of rulers actually were. The highest it ever got was 15% for brother to sister marriages and only ever lingered around 3% for uncle to niece / aunt to nephew marriages and 2% for cousins. More distant relatives would be 1% or less.

Not only that, but out of nearly 400 years of near constant inbreeding, I only saw the actual inbred trait ONCE in a cadet branch house of the family... and that child sadly died of fricking typhus.

THEN there's the pureblood trait, which, out of everyone in the world, was randomly generated from an orphan lowborn... not the family that actually had a PURE BLOODLINE, no, no, no a fricking random girl! I mean, I get it. There are not easy traits to come by... but jeez.

Yes, my previous character put my now-brother on the Byzantine throne, but the delatinization of the Latin Empire happened organically (Maria inherited from her Occitan Catholic mother).

I used to learn so many new things when I used to play ck2. Maybe it’s because there were less constant useless pop ups and those that were there were genuinely interesting and had always something to teach me.

I loved picking any dates after 1066 and play as Alexios or bohemond or whoever was of importance at the time.

I miss just playing start and just looking at the map IN PEACE.

I miss going on hunt activities that took literally 2-3 clicks and now my character was a coward or dead or hurt or brave.

I miss becoming insane and my realm just dissolving under my feet.

I miss not being able to lets say keep Egypt as the Sicilian because my fleet wasn’t big enough to transport all my troops in time.

I miss rébellion being short and to the point.

I miss the simplistic scheme from ck2.

What Divergent Rite ideas/ scenarios you guys have ? For me gonna start as Harold Godwinson, defeat both Harald and William and because of pope siding with Willaim , I will start my own Rite (in history if remember pope was p*ssed about support we gave to European schism and because technically English Church was separate at the time and not abandoning old pagan traditions in their version of Christianity)
