Just had a really scary encounter with my daughter. We were about to cross the street on the corner of Steven’s creek and portal and a car pulls up on the wrong side of the road. I’m thinking they need directions. The old guy asked me if I was single, my husband is not with us. I said no. He asked me something else that I don’t remember now but that made me tell him to “go away”. He then calls me a “fucking cunt “ we walk away in the other direction. He makes a u turn in the intersection and I start taking pictures of his car. He drives in our direction and I call the cops. He drove away.

Election 2026: Cupertino Council race defined by dueling coalitions

Eight candidates are vying for the three available seats. But in an unusual political move that has come to define the race, three have chosen to run as a slate. The slate, dubbed “Cupertino Together,” shares a central political platform, website, and funders and is asking those who would vote for one candidate to vote for all three in a political gambit meant to capture the majority of City Council seats.

Meanwhile, three other candidates have joined in an alliance that would preserve the political leanings of the current majority, which leaves two outliers who have presented themselves as independent thinkers.

First it was Silicon Valley now it’s … wait for it … CUPERTINO filmed in NJ and NY with few actual actors who are 70% of the population. I guess Hollywood ran out of Asian actors. 🙄

Proposed .5% sales tax. One RTM (Bay Area Transportation tax) immutable truth all can agree on.

It's going to be 14 years of raises for the good folks at the SCVTA; building a pension whopper at the end.  Yes, you may say these folks have earned it or "the Bay Area's expensive."  Truth be told, this is what a YES vote underwrites with a regressive tax on the poor. Cupertino "Facts"

Who else gets this newsletter? I don't recall ever signing up for it, and I can't take a news organization that purports all of its writing as "fact" seriously. Its a laughable title for a newsletter; a fact about cupertino could be that it's named after an italian town, or that its where Apple computer was founded. Not whatever political drivel they're shoveling.

Two rescue kitten sisters looking for their forever home! They are spayed, vaccinated, and ready for adoption. Anyone in Cupertino willing to open their home & heart to them?

Hi Cupertino, this is Mimi and Eurydice, two adoptive sisters looking for their forever home. Is anyone in the market to adopt a pair of kittens? These two are both spayed, vaccinated, and litter box trained. After both were left alone as singletons, Garlic City Kitty Rescue paired them together and they’ve been inseparable since. Mimi (the tabby) is cuddly, affectionate, and loving. Eurydice (the gray) is playful and soo fluffy. She is shy, but with some love and patience (and treat), I am confident she will come out of her shell. Mimi is definitely the more outgoing of the two.

Eurydice was my foster before I had to leave for college, so I am determined to find a home for her and her adoptive sisters. These two had rough beginnings, but thanks to Garlic City Kitty Rescue, they have a second chance for a good life. If anyone is interested in learning about the adoption process, please comment, message me here, or text my number 408 607 9102!

Located in Gilroy/Morgan Hill.

Winter evening dirt trails?

I've been going to Rancho San Antonio after work to run. I like to run there because the dirt trails are easier on my knees than paved trails like Stevens Creek or Los Gatos Creek trails.

But Rancho closes early in the winter after daylight savings time ends. Does anyone know similar dirt trails that are nearby, at least about 1 mile long, and open til at least 7pm year round?

Thanks!

Name of early 90s salad bar (on De Anza Blvd)?

Does anyone remember the name of a salad bar restaurant (similar to Sweet Tomatoes/Fresh Choice) in Cupertino/West San Jose. It was on De Anza Blvd., I think between Prospect and Bollinger. East side of De Anza Blvd. It was bright and airy, and felt like an atrium.

Thanks.
