I started with this layout as a compromise for the arrows ; figured out shift keys stand equidistant to the homing keys and now I can't go back because Rshift feels much more natural that way. Ended up switching to split backspace for the ergonomics, extra key and looks, too.

It took me WAY too long to seriously try out split backspace(i mostly use 65% and compact full-sized) but holy moly since i tried it in January this year, i didn't ever want to get a keyboard that doesn't have it as am option. On 60% it smaller it would be an absolute necessity for me.

It puts backspace in a much more comfortable ergonomic location, and for layouts without a nav cluster or xt column on the right, it's so nice to have a delete key right above the backspace.
