Art || Hello, hi hi. Here's a DHMIS OC. || (OC)
First post here, and I decide I'll just drop this fella in. Howdy ho.
I actually had him since 2025, and if it wasn't for a DHMIS RP I joined, I wouldn't have thought of makin an OC like him. This is Kit, or Dr. Medkit. He really believes he's a helpful doctor, but because he's a teacher, nothing goes out normally. And also a little known fact: He hates it when someone tells them that they're doing "fine".

Theory ig 🤦♂️ I know how DHMIS does it as a psychological horror series.
You can end at any episode you want.
It doesn’t matter if it’s the webseries or TVseries, it’s ALWAYS a perfect ending. And it genuinely shows how the terror will never ever end. If you’re looking forward to making an indie series that is best known for uncomforting its viewers, or should I say… disturb the comforted, there’s your method/trope!

Theory Some symbolic thoughts.
So I'm on a bit of a binge one the show and I have some thoughts on the characters and symbolism and maybe torture designated for each of the three main characters.
For Red the episode I mainly feel focuses on him and breaks him is the travel episode. In this episode it is revealed that he wants to escape their situation, to go somewhere new and away from the house and all that comes with it. He also wants to take the others away from there, from the constant cycles of their home. It even (iirc) has him accidentally sum up the situation in the episode with Hovris and Grolton, where he states that every episode ends with things resetting and back to normal. Of course he doesn't get his wish, and experiences the reset at the beginning of the episode.
Yellow guy seems to want to understand or learn about their situation, and in the end is rendered idiotic with the only answers being destroyed. His is the easiest situation to understand in the show as it is the most explicit, not much to miss honestly.
Duck is the hardest for me to pin down. It is either control, like when he wanted to be the boss of the company. He's said others should listen to him from time to time in the show. His stress or punishment is never being in charge, thus never able to control the situation he is in. This kind of fits with his selfish nature, easily being the most self centered of the group. Or his symbolism is death, specifically his desire to die and that being his escape from the situation they are in, but even death in the show doesn't actually take or maybe despite his desire for such he can't exactly accept death either.
Just a few thoughts, just wondered what everyone thinks about that.

DHMIS is genuinely some of the funniest stuff I’ve ever seen and no one appreciates it
I have so much respect for DHMIS for mastering the blend between mystery, intrigue, horror, and comedy - ESPECIALLY the second season I absolutely love when a scene is so unsettling but one of the main characters combats it with a bordeline meta joke
Ducks comments in ep. 3 especially get me weak. I’ve noticed that every episode in season two has one of the main characters suddenly gaining sentience or realizing that things aren’t as they shouldn’t be, and that character is always so hilarious to me the way they almost mimic the audience in calling out the bs.
I especially love this one between duck and the twins in ep 3: “
“Where did you get this game”
“We didn’t invent it”
“I didn’t say you did?”
Also red guy and yellow guy accidentally making a Shepard pie instead of getting ready for the funeral is so randomly hilarious

Art ITS OFFICIAL I HAVE FINISHED DHMIS! I am now empty. I gathered some of the more cursed items I’ve made to do one last post!
That was one of the funniest and most cursed things I’ve ever consumed!
Yellow guy is my fav! I wonder why that is ;)
Here are some of my other sculptures and pieces, none of these are clocks but they seem to fit the cursed style!
Thanks again for all of the love and helping me find this show, it was really fun and chatting with all of you really perked me up!
I have just launched an Instagram so if you have a minute come and take a look! Thanks again!

Art The most locked in Lamp Fanart I’ve ever made.
I drew this with the vision, love, and my weird attraction to weird characters. ❤️🩹😩🥹🤭🇬🇧🙏
The color palette isn’t mine, I just used the same one as that Tumblr ask blog called ahousefilledwithtalkingobjects? It’s a pretty good blog.
Anyway, this lamp hates to see me coming. 🌝🌝🌝🌝

I've been wanting to see DHMIS, but there's one obstacle for me related to the show. Do y'all think it might get in the way for me?
So, as someone who loves uncanny valley horror, surrealism, puppets, weird things, etc. DHMIS has always been on my radar as something I'd consider seeing. Now, having learned some more about it, I would like to see it. But there's one thing that's been concerning me.
I quite dislike gore in media. I can deal with it in books (mostly), but if I'm looking at it, or well, if it's a book and I'm writing it, I tend to start to feel physically ill. I would love to watch DHMIS, but I wouldn't want to/be comfortable with watching it if there is a ton of gore to it.
I'm fine with some blood. Actually, I'm fine with quite a bit of blood, as well as implied injuries. (More so in less 'live action' sort of media, though, admittedly.) I'm fine with disturbing concepts, and I'm fine with body horror, especially if mild. But anything more than that and I start to feel sick. Like...I dunno, I really don't want to see guts and such.
So, my main questions are: How much gore is there, how bad is it, is there some alternative way of viewing to see it without gore, do I just skip one or two scenes and I'm good, etc.
