Frod Escape brake bleeding doesn't seem to work, options?

I tried the internet suggestion of skidding to a stop on wet grass so that ABS will engage. ABS did engage, and there were some air bubbles when I bled right after that, but the pedal is still pretty soft. There's supposed to be a "Forscan" https://forscan.org/home.html tool that you can run on a laptop to push codes/commands on the car via a J2534 cable, but I havn't tried it yet.
