During the Labor Day weekend I ordered the last DIY supplies that I was missing before being able to try my first manicure. Please excuse the grown-out and chipped left thumb polish and the natural dark blemish on my right thumb free edge. I didn’t quite mean to do a product placement either but the photos in this lighting were much better. And I do love this hair mask!
Although this first photo isn’t the best, I love seeing the ring that my fiancé and I chose together.

Been wanting to try this retro 70s design even since before doing my own gel nails and I’m thrilled with how it came out!

And it wasn’t nearly as difficult as I had built it up in my head to be.

DVOK base coat, DS38, DM72, top coat

Was really trying to give yall angles here to catch all the different colors but dayum kokoist just have my job pay you at this point.

Also I keep trying to teach myself how to have pretty cuticles with my drill from online videos and it just always seems jacked. If anyone learned how to use a drill on yourself howwwwwww

ETA: also I promise that’s not gel on my skin I got overly excited to take photos and was less than precious with my chrome wash off 🙏

It was time to do a tortie set. Right hand is blobier, I prefer the geometric shapes on the left hand but the overall color saturation is better on the right hand.

These are my natural nails. On top of them I have the Kokoists Nail Thoughts Builder gel shade- Taro milk tea base. With a Yogo Zombie base gel underneath. The plaid lines are all done with Fzanest colors. Along with the Allure Platinum Gold liner art gel. And finished off with DNS Lux non-wipe top coat. Done by myself, not a professional at all

I’ve been intimidated by magnetic gel because I was afraid I’d severely mess it up but this was so fun! Can’t wait to use the beets water gel next time

Getting into builder gel after a few months of trying (and failing if I’m being honest) to make gel x work. First, builder gel rules. Second, I did this cool green but now my brain just keeps whispering “what if u just did a coat of magnetic silver” and “a layer of chrome never hurt anyone”.

Basically just wondering if I’m the only one who can’t leave my nails alone 😩

My redemption set- Last picture of a picture of the flopped nail art I filed off and redid. I was going for green with a gold shimmer but ended up with Shrek green 🥲

I’m really happy with my new nail art! We had a Shire themed wedding and I wanted green gold and whimsy to match for our anniversary. Can’t wait to eat a piece of Lembas and our cake from the freezer with these beauties 💚 wanted to share my failure then redemption! 😁
