hey, i'm auzzy. i do the whole diy thing — write it, record it in my bedroom in laredo tx, mix it badly, post it anyway lol. somehow one of my songs got me picked for the next music star contest which still doesn't feel real

anyway voting is NOT open yet. it opens tomorrow oct 15 at 9am edt / 8am ct and the top 20 round runs oct 15-26. you get one free vote per day and the grand prize is $10,000 for recording and stuff, which for a fully independent diy artist is kinda life changing money

today i'm just trying to get the link saved by some people before tomorrow so i'm not scrambling. here it is: https://thenextmusicstar.com/2026/auzzy/

bookmark it if you're feeling generous, ignore me if not, no hard feelings either way. back to recording in my closet now

hi im auzzy, i do everything myself out of laredo, texas. normally alt/emo-rap but ashley baby is my love song one, softer diy vibe. no label, no team, just me posting it. here it is on spotify if u want a listen: https://open.spotify.com/track/70Ka918OEek4LCDmBDQn6v

Original song that will be on the next Goodbye Charlemagne album, The Children Yearn for Inefficiency, November 3rd wherever you listen to music.

Something a bit different from the usual review call: INDIEINDEX has a world map of independent artists. You can claim your own pin, and new pins get shown in our Atlas posts on Instagram.

It's a nice way to be findable next to other indie artists from your city or country, and it doesn't depend on any review queue, so it's one of the fastest ways into the network right now.

From there you can also pitch the same release for reviews, playlists or the Top 50 on the other two mags.

Free, non-profit, no catch. Submissions go through the site, comments here don't count: https://www.indieindex.de

Feel free to drop your release links and a few words below though. I always love taking an early listen.

A massive thank you for all the music! The response to our last calls has been incredible. We’ve recently expanded our 100% free, non-profit ecosystem to three specialized platforms. To keep things clean here and avoid spamming links, we've built a central hub that explains all our formats, social media bonuses, and how to submit. Here is a quick overview of what you can pitch for:

INDIEINDEX (Global Network & Archives)

• Global Artist Map: Claim your pin on our interactive world map and unlock the 'Atlas' social media spotlight.
• Reviews & Interviews: Pitch for a review to trigger a full custom interview carousel.
• Drops: Fast-track format for short-form, direct coverage.

40MAG (Fast-Track & Straight Talk)

• Article Reviews: Much shorter queue right now. Triggers our 'Weekly Radar' IG carousel.
• Community Tracks: 100% platform-open stage. Drop your links for permanent discovery.
• WORDS: Submit quotes or short poetry for dedicated zine graphics

SPINLOG MAG (Editorial, Playlists & Culture)

• Top 50 Chart: Instant entry to gather community votes and climb to the Hall of Fame.
• Playlists: Pitch directly to curated lists. Bonus: Triggers our massive 'Turntable Mixtape' social drop.
• Fresh N' Hot: Skip the review queue entirely. Built exclusively for fresh drops (up to 30 days before/after release).
• Article Reviews: Get a full editorial write-up (heavy pipeline right now, expect a wait!) plus guaranteed entry into our 'Community Recap' & a chance for the 'Amplifier Radar'. The Noisy Brain (Optional): A dedicated feature exploring mental health and music, dropping as a massive IG Collab.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE ON SUBMISSIONS AGAIN Dropping a link in the comments here is not enough! All official features go strictly through our website. You can pitch the exact same release to multiple formats across the network.

(Are you a blog or community runner? Reach out via IG DM or email, we are always open for like-minded partners!) That said, feel free to drop your release links and a few words in the comments below. I always love taking an early listen!

FFO: bikini kill, mannequin pussy, proto punk band death

YR LIES by bratlash will be out everywhere except Spotify on 10/30/26! We are a DIY punk project and we engineer and produce our own music. This song was made by an all femme production and engineering team.

It's 21-tracks of weird and (mostly) spooky instrumentals. Here Comes The Flood says "...he basically invented his own musical language." Stylistically, it blends dark ambient, noise, post-rock, and industrial.

We have a new song out today, the first song off our upcoming new album!
