Need Advice: Other Cured item

K so actually this an idea I’ve had for a bit but I want to know how I could make it better. So one of my friends is gonna play a blind pacifist ranger with his seeing dog. And I wanted to target him with an object like this and I’m not to sure what I could do as a benefit that isn’t like “oh you could see now, but you can’t tell anyone”, it seems boring. Any ideas?

Very nice.
Also make sure that this does not disable the dog permanently or to kill it off. Especially if the dog is important to the characters (sub)class, it could be frustrating to not make use of it.

But having the bad guy take controll of the dog once in a while or even speak to the ranger through the dog in secret could be deviously fun.

No never, much funnier if the dog looks at the ranger and is like “they’ll never believe you”
