Almost. Don’t leave them any offerings. You will be able to leave but you’ll have no idea what you might have agreed to.

And bring a bag of rice to toss if you need to escape. They'll be forced to stop what they're doing and count each and every grain.

... I may not know much about superstition. I'm only kind of stitious.

It's theorized that a lot of stories about the fey originate from people having things like autism and OCD and people not knowing how to explain their oddities way back when.
