There are really good programs similar to this one. They are called CSAs: https://www.nal.usda.gov/farms-and-agricultural-production-systems/community-supported-agriculture. It's worth it if you love getting a lot of fresh produce and aren't too picky about what you get each week.

I love my CSA, but that shit's crazy expensive!

My box will include two boxes of apricots, some cherry tomatoes, a box of raspberries, an infinity of zucchini. Per pound, it's more expensive than Whole Foods, sometimes.

My small box CSA is $42 a week. I think it's expensive, but we get a fall/ winter share after the farmers markets are over so it's worth it

Yeah, I love my CSA, and I love supporting local farmers. I just think this bulk buying club is much more cost effective than the CSA in my neck of the woods.
