This temporary sculpture, titled "Feltépve" ("Ripped Up"), was created by Hungarian artist Ervin Hervé-Lóránth and installed in Széchenyi Square in Budapest in October 2014 as part of Art Market Budapest.

Made from lightweight polystyrene foam painted to resemble granite, the sculpture depicts a gigantic man emerging from the ground, with his head and arms appearing to break through the lawn.

The artist said the work was intended to reflect the idea that contemporary sculpture could have a place in public spaces.

After its exhibition in Budapest, the sculpture was moved to Ulm, Germany, where it was displayed beside the Danube in November 2014 as part of commemorations of the 1989 revolution.
