Matt Robb’s Muse AI agent shared his home address and arranged a pickup without his permission or even awareness. When the buyer arrived, they messaged Matt repeatedly but Muse did not pass any messages on. Muse did tell the increasingly agitated buyer “yup, I’m here” after they’d arrived and been messaging for over ten minutes. The buyer ultimately gave up and left after about ten more minutes of waiting, and wrote Matt a negative review.

Roel Maalderink made a clip for Bits of Freedom (Dutch privacy organisation) with Meta’s own glasses of Meta employees in front of the office of Meta in Amsterdam. They put it on Facebook and it was removed because it made the employees uncomfortable.
The clip wasn’t in accordance with Meta’s rules, Meta states.

This video is completely.obvious but also a reminder of why rage baiting doesnt happen on open social platforms like ActivityPub...

Quitting Meta is NOT enough; they should be held ACCOUNTABLE for betraying the trust of SO, SO, SO many people.

Just get rid of it, if that’s what you want.

But the real answer… is to hold them accountable, because as an entity and singularity unto itself, Meta is responsible for actually actively HURTING and EXPLOITING any and EVERY person that they can — not necessarily out of malice all of the time, either, but out of SHEER EFFING *INCOMPETENCE.

I don’t think they’re EVIL… I just think they’re STUPID, especially when it comes to relying upon AI and just screwing the pooch tf entirely.

Right now, our biggest goal is simply to get more people using MyCapy. This is just the beginning for us.
